They pour like idiots, and don’t car at all.

One time the owner attacked me with a hot poker

The only reason I drink at Notch is because the beer is brewed by men, the way it should be.

I had the Ungespundet Stichfass, Lojko, and the Hef. All tasted great.

Picked up Tenner, Hef, and Lojko to go.

Already got a little FOMO I'm not going to Forever Lager. Saw Chris post about a new Helles that was coming - maybe by this weekend? Hopefully that winds up in Salem, too.

    On tap now in Brighton...

    HELLES STADT
    Munich Helles || 4.8% || Willi Becher
    Taste: bright, honey, subtle sweetness
Notes: A classic style from Munich, and what the Bavarians created after the Czech’s discovered Pilsner. Less hoppy than the Pilsner, Helles is malt driven with cracker and white grape aromas and the flavor is clean and bright.
FUN FACTS: Helles is German for light or bright. Stadt is German for town / city. Helles Stadt is loosely translated to Bighton (Bright town).

Had it this afternoon. I like it a lot. More malt flavor and more hop bitterness then Salem Lager.

Might pop by Salem later to see if it's made it on up here. Maybe for Stichfaß Friday?

What breweries is everyone excited about hitting up tomorrow? What Q&A sessions?

Dovetail, Suarez, and Wild East are the breweries I’m most excited to try….although I’m not expecting a bad lager considering the lineup!

I’ll have some Salem Lager on the beach tomorrow. Bought a four to celebrate you goons tomorrow as I can’t be there.

Otherlands Beer for sure! Excited to see Ben Howe's work pouring in MA again. I very much miss his Enlightenment Ales. I really enjoyed the Zwickelbier Otherlands had on tap at the CBC 35th anniversary.

Yesterday was killer. A who’s who (not just the beers, actual owners/brewers were there) in the lager game. And I can’t recall anything I tasted that wasn’t excellent.

Berwick bringing a couple Stichfaß was a nice and I really their Rauch from it.

Starting the day off with Notch’s new Helles was great too. Might be my favorite beer from them right now.

Outside of the festival the Biergarten was slammed. It’s so awesome how much business they’re getting for a brewery that is mostly lagers.

Yes, the speedway was hopping when I got there around 6pm. Great event and excellent beer. Standouts for me were - Palantine pils from Suarez, the Vienna from Dovetail, and the Pale Czech lager from Cohesion!
Picked up a few four packs on the way out, and excited to drink one or two of those during the Celtics game tonight!

I went to the 2nd session. Crowded but easy enough to switch back and forth from bands in beer garden to Garage B where the beers were. As @AlcahueteJ said, everything I tried was really great including Notch's new Helles but the one I went back for more than once was the Triple Crossing Bohem. Got there a bit closer to 5:00 so missed at least one band but music was great and the weather made it just a spectacular afternoon.

A very small amount of his collaboration pilsner with Honest Weight is on tap at the HW taproom in Orange, all the way on the other side of the state. It'll go fast.
