    Cheers!

Beautiful song about some poor boy and the struggle that can be school for a ten year old. In French, though:

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for getting us started today! Sorry your song didn't show up here in Murica ("The uploader has not made this video available in your country").

Off to a cool and damp, misty morning here in the rain forests of NW PA - talked to my brother in Texas yesterday - 105 degrees but their pool was only 100, so they were heading into it to cool off. Here it was in the low 70s and I had to wear a flannel shirt because it was so cold.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Final Impression and summation: 3.25 (After deducting 0.25 point for undated personal container) Very mediocre IPA, but it could be old since they haven’t bothered to date the can.
    Rating 3.21, rDev -22.8%

This is another company that has the balls to tell you to "Drink Fresh" but then doesn't date their product. One and done for their undated products.

Château Neubourg superieur pilsner. Sounds French, but is Dutch.
Cheers from the somewhat stormy Dutch coast

Tripel Karmeliet. The can version, as you can see. Taste is like Karmeliet on tap.
Retreated to the privacy of our own room, after paying Є/$ 10 for a pilsner  Not complaining, you pay for the location here too (double I guess).
    Cheers

Morning, BAs! Taking the afternoon off to get some housework (and self-work) done. Lunch time beer seems appropriate.

    Happy cloudy and cooler Monday!

Found out earlier this am that my gf's Dad - who is recovering from several strokes he had in March, fell while trying to get out of bed at the skilled nursing place he is at.....broke his hip!
Damn, getting old is some scary shit!

this beer is excellent and I could drink it any day of the week - repeatedly!

Close up heron shot from this am walk....

Heineken from tap (limited options here) pairing with some Hollandse haring and toast.
Hollandse haring is a traditional Dutch delicacy made from raw herring. But it is nothing like the stinky Scandinavian version.
It is more like lightly salted sushi. Not fresh, but slightly fermented in a salty solution. It's caught in the North Sea, particularly in the spring and early summer when the herring is at its best in terms of fat content. Taste is mild and slightly salty, with a smooth, buttery texture. Recommend when you like fish. Widely available in Amsterdam too by the way. Must try for anyone on beercation
    Cheers

Next time I'll take a picture before I bury the fish in raw union

I had to move my car because the city is going to dig up our street to install new water lines. The best place to park just happens to be our Iron Hill franchise, so I went in and tried a Chasing Daylight
    RYE BEER
5% ABV 15 IBU Iron Hill Brewery
Packed with two different kinds of rye, this lager is malty with one-two punch of rye spice. So, throw on some shades, kick up your feet, and enjoy the spice of life

I'll be back for happy hour to drink more of this.

Loving the trip around the world this morning with great beers and music. Cleared my final 8 cans from the basement cellar Friday, this is one of them, one of my favorite annual BA Stout releases.

I'm with you @Ozzylizard , I pass on about 80% of beers/breweries and undated product is one of the reasons. Also, while Winter can be a challenge, I'll leave living south of Chicago or Porter County Indiana for others. I am open to visit come cooler weather.

Good morning BAs! Just finished a big breakfast at the hotel, now having some coffee - Westbrook’s Mexican Cake:

Canned 4/29/24. Poured at 54°. Chocolate and cinnamon. Spicy hot chilies pepper bite on the tip of my tongue. Another good year as the peppers are hot and the cinnamon mild.

I’ll head downtown shortly to do some site seeing and shopping. Have a magnificent Monday y’all, and Cheers from Anchorage AK!
