    I think it is now:
    0-6 bottles: $30
    7-15 bottles: $40

Wow, they added single bottles of Rhymes with Orange and they're priced the same as BT. That's nuts for a non-BA beer. The oranges must have been super expensive and/or more technically difficult to work with.

What’s weird is on their instagram post, they told me it was barrel aged

I mean, that would make a lot more sense... maybe just a labeling snafu? I don't think they've ever released White Oak Sap non-BA, and I want to say I heard someone tried it ages ago and it kinda sucks non-BA.

On the other hand, I'm reminded when Rugbrod re-released last year and originally they were going to have it be BA, but then changed their minds, but still released it at a big BA price point until we asked them about it. Turned out the brewers and marketing folks miscommunicated.

    Cire Blender's Choice

Holy hell this is good. I was hesitant to open after just opening Cire a week ago, but very glad I did. This is very much better. Dare I say it's the first Ani in a long time to remind me of the Sucre and before days? That's a bold statement, but I stand by it!

Compared to regular Cire, the extra tang is gone. It's still thinner bodied than the early Ani beers, but not too thin at all. Very rich bourbon flavor, more pronounced than earlier Ani's to me. Very boozy of course, but not harsh or hot at all. Old ale flavors are great though competing with the bourbon somewhat.

Happily buying more now, which also lets me get some Double Double Mash to try with that sweet free shipping...

Has anyone heard of any potential progress in shipping to the states that have gone dark? I’ve got plenty to get me by here in Michigan but it’s feeling more and more like my 2024 bottles will be pre-aged! Looks like good stuff coming out this year anyway.

Nothing I have heard. But I have also stopped asking. I had a box shipped to IN with all the extras I had bought at the beginning of the year. Now I am just done buying. Bummer cause there were a lot of things I wanted to get this year, but at this point there is nothing they can do to get me to spend more money there. This feels like a bait and switch to me. Last I checked on their FAQ page it even still says shipping to all states except AK, HI, and UT. At the end of the year I will have my included beers shipped to me in NC, and if they can't I will demand free shipping to IN. I am not gonna pay $30 or $40 shipping to somewhere I don't live cause they changed the rules after I signed up.

    Double Double Mash

Love it, very good. The price point is still a tough sell. Cire Blender's Choice is better, but the small format is so attractive.

I only had one bottle of Double Mash and I judged it pretty hard... expectations were probably unfairly high. I'm interested to hear how much different those who had more of it feel this Double Double is.

Double Double is a lot of malt and a lot of bourbon, but oh so smooth. Warm but not hot. The main word I'd use is "balanced" overall.

It's funny, because in a sense it feels a bit naked for a Bruery beer. Just beer and wood with no gimmicks. @pmoney2311 I'm with you though - more of these would be a great balance to the release calendar.

Yeah, even for us in the DC area, we had a place to actually pick up our beer and they discontinued that after re-sign ups for Societies 2024. Originally said be on the look out for another place to open in the area but then they changed their mind and instead their opening a place in, checks notes... Bumblefuck, Idaho.

To their credit, they psuedo made it right with crediting shipping for included beers but with the raise in rates I'm gonna have to reach out to them again.

Very scummy they said only two tiers would be available to members and then release cheaper GA tickets months after members already had their tickets…

last year I was bummed I bought GA tickets and couldn’t upgrade to the higher tiers. All of the interesting The Bruery beers were at the higher tiers (only had one new/interesting beer on the GA). So there’s that FWIW though not sure if they would be running it that way again

Yeah I looked the GA, The Bruery showing is even sadder than last year. I’d only do GA if you were only going to the festival for the other brewers. If you wanted to exchange you could probably try emailing them. My problem last year was VIP was sold out so exchange wasn’t possible.

Opened a No oven required and was surprised. Based on past treatments, I was expecting more cinnamon and less peach. But this one is a peach bomb with cinnamon nicely in the background. Well done!

    BT 2-Year Red Wine

I'd been meaning to open my last one and went for it when I saw it's coming up in the Summer Sale. This one had never quite done it for me but now it's great and I'm going to grab a couple more.

I never thought there was anything bad about it, just something in the way it all came together that hadn't worked for me in the past relative to other red wine BT.

I was meh at first with this bottle, but as usual, letting my glass fully warm up made the difference. The bold wine adds a rich earthiness that I'm really into and it blends well with the malty BT. There's a lot of wine but not in the "this is wine" sense.

When it was fresh I thought it was too sweet and the booziness was too harsh. The sweetness feels much more balanced now, and the booziness is a strong pleasant warmth without heat - would be great around the fire in winter.
