Good day BAs! Thanks @AzfromOz for starting us off today! Finishing up some stuff around the house before Tuesday's jaunt via Toronto to Nurnberg and finally Bamberg. Mrs. Lizard gets to reptile sit for me and dog sit for one of our son's dogs, as well as watering the various outside plants.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Meh. OK NEIPA.
Final Impression and summation: 3.75 Unremarkable NEIPA (Or, alternatively, hazy American IPA). One and done.

Good People Brewing
Hitchhiker American IPA



Amber gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of sweet malt and sharp, bitter hops.

Taste is evenly split between malt sweetness and hop bitterness. I get malt up front quickly followed by sharp, bitter piney hops. If things were dialed back a bit this would be a better balanced/tasting brew.

Medium full texture with balancing carbonation.

A well crafted concept but the results fall a bit short of the mark.

 

Some new breweries arrived for NH Distro. This was a celebration beer for my last child almost 12 years ago. Rather amazing still.

 

I might be the first person in NH to purchase this in a store. So stoked to snag this off the shelf today.

Sounds like a stellar trip!

 

Made it down south to Songkhla. Took the boys to the Baby Home they both spent over 8 months in. It was not an optimal visit due to language barriers, but went fairly well. We tried to contact them in advance and laid an egg. They did say they would post the boys pics on their social media and try to reach out to blood relatives. We'll see.

Had a stellar evening me on the water. 7 courses mostly seafood. 4 people $ 64.. So prices aren't what they were 20 years ago, go figure.

Beer all over the place here, unlike 18 years ago. Snowy Yuzu Beer, way better than that Singha I had earlier.

Porchsitting this morning with a near-beer from Toronto’s Partake Brewing. Does’t look like much, but it tastes nice and bitter

Tired Hands Alien Church IPA, I believe

 

I never thought Harp was brewed in the Pilsner style. Not way back when and certainly not now.

Looks like a Tired Hands beer called Alien Church.

 

2020 Chimay Dorée Gold. Pretty good being aged for ~4 years.
