    Thursday, and a new to me beer from La Collective du Houblon, “Bitter bitter IPA”. 6,2%.

    Yep! Very bitter but I can’t tell which hops were used and it’s not even on the label.

    Same brewery, different beer and their Super dark black ale. 6,8%.

    Pretty strong on coffee this one and better than the first one IMO. I likey:

    Deep golden color with lasting white cap.

    Aroma of sweet malt and citrus hops.

    Taste on entry is sweet malt in abundance with a dusting of citrus hops. I find sweet, caramely malt to be the main flavor but hops have a close enough presence to balancing the malt richness.

    I gifted my second to last bottle of this to @DTLVTOUR and he did not like it. While this is not Lizard of Koz level greatness, it's a solid offering for me, and my final bottle. Wonder if they will bring it back, really the only KBS variant I'm in the market for in 2024.
