    1) Einbecker Brauherren Pils (4.9%): An authentic German Pils with flavors of yeast, rustic pale malts
    versus
    2) Ayinger Bairisch Pils (5.2%): An authentic German Pilsner with flavors of floral notes, smooth bread malts. Mildly sweet. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Einbecker Brauherren Pils:
German Pils Battle. Two great ones. First is Einbecker. Rustic. Yeasty, and smooth.
Next is Ayinger. A bit heavier and larger than other German Pilsners. Slightly heavier and sweeter. Highly regarded. I agree, but I'd pick a few German Pilsners over it.
    Einbecker is excellent.

[IMG] Happy Friday afternoon! Shoutout to @MadMadMike for kicking it off! Trying to cool down after a sweltering day here in SEPA! Enjoying an Enegren “Edel-Pils” on the deck in the shade.

...that sounds good...love Ghost Pepper...never though about it in soup...grew some Ghost Pepper last year...thought about Carolina Reaper this year, but opted for the Peter pepper instead...still have dried ghost pepper that occasional crumble and add to various dishes thought out the year...

I’m beating the heat at Autodidact, drinking Euphoria, an IPA collab with Two Villains Brewing. Softy and fruity. Nice beer. Oddly, it’s a lot less bitter than the Grisette I just drank, which is conditioned on green strawberries (a collab with Carton). That’s a first for me: my palate burned out by a Grisette. Cheers to the weekend, BAs!

The new marketing attraction - Ghost Pepper. Not saying I don't like them but Holy hell they're putting these things in everything now including fast food. Sure to provide a slow dying death like most everything they overkill.
Edit: helps the toilet paper industry though.

...thanks...I pretty much have my technique nailed down...wet brine overnight, good dry rub, and then smoke over alder wood at around 185 °F...Mrs. BeerGoot, neighbors, and friends seem to rave about it, so I must be on the right track...
