Got some ribs and riblets (wanted pork belly but couldn't find any) on the pit for dinner and snack. Gonna try my first attempt at a no wrap rib cook and see how it goes

My afternoon beer to start is, Aecht Schlenkerla Erle Schwarzbier, 4.2% ABV. This is freaking amazing. Review over at the NBW thread. One of the highest scores I can remember giving recently.

Good Afternoon BAs! Slept in this morning…having my coffee Now - Alesmith’s Coffee & Beer - Imperial Porter with Mostra Coffee, in collab with GOAL Brewing, part of the recent Small Batch series:



Canned 4/14/24. Poured at 56°. Sweet malt and coffee nose. Taste follows. Thin for 10%; otherwise, a tasty coffee porter. Working on tasting notes…

Mid 90’s with high humidity forecast today. The big Pride parade will be downtown. I plan on staying home and relaxing…Cheers and have a shenanigans-free Saturday y’all!

Mast Landing a beer named duck, watching my boy Bruno Fernandes in the Euro's



this is a seriously tasty Pale Ale! i feel like Mast Landing is a bit underrated sometimes, everything i've had from them has been good or better

Makers Roast Warrior Coffee-Infused Stout (95%+ certain this is their sweet stout with some a shot of coffee at the bottom... still good)

This beer is the little brother of Drekker Brewing's King of the Thing, possibly my favorite beer they brew. This beer still features Citra hops, but is at a lower ABV. I prefer a higher ABV. This is a nice session IPA. This album turns 25 today. Sweden has produced more of my favorite albums than any other country. This one is a classic.

 

Agree brother, we also had scalloped cheese potatoes.....I'm headed to the futon in the mancave, she's headed to the "feels like 102" pool deck......cheers!!

 

1) Tucher Brau Helles (5.2%): A German Helles with flavors of smooth pale Munich malts, earthy honey, lightly toasted. Smooth.
versus
2) Veltins Grevensteiner (5.2%): A German Kellerbier with flavors of grains, bread, yeast, and light honey and caramel notes. Dry. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
1) Tucher Brau Helles: German Lager Battle. First is Tucher Brau Helles. One of my favorite Helles lagers. A bit darker and more rich than others.
Next is Veltins Grevensteiner. A Kellerbier and my first try at this one. First time I've seen it so picked up a four pack. Unfiltered and pours dark. Mild aromas, but grainy and malt flavors. Some honey and even caramel flavors. Finishes dry though. An excellent beer as well. Tucher Helles is so smooth and hard to beat though.

Hopped with "100% Azacca Baybee!"

Nice, but I still prefer the Cryo-Azacca and Mosaic hopped pale from Flipside.

 

It's a scorcher today. 92°F and 1000% humidity. Typical GA summer. But I'll take it over 45°F and raining!
