Trillium Brewing Company - Coconut PM Dawn

Enjoying this in the early afternoon today. This has a lot of cold brew coffee in it and a good amount of toasted coconut too. Personally, I would not recommend drinking it in the evening.

1) Talking Waters Reality Czech (5.0%): A Czech Pilsner from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, salted bread, and yeast. Finishes bitter.
versus
2) Off Color Tooth and Claw (5.0%): A Czech Pilsner from Chicago with flavors of pale malts, smooth bread malts and a vinous yeast. Mildly bitter. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
1) Talking Waters Reality Czech: Czech Pils Battle. First is Talking Waters from Minnesota. First try at this Czech Pils. The flavors are spot on. A bit salted with a rather bitter finish. Fantastic stuff.
Next is Off Color Tooth & Claw. Yeasty with almost a vinous yeast component. Also very well-done.
Impressed by this Czech Pils from Talking Waters. I'd give it an Outstanding rating.

 

Only see a Romanian Flag there.

Leo Lager can be aloi mak mak sometimes, but i slaughter Blend 285 most of the time out there.
I'm gonna be staying near a micro brewery that started in Myanamar called Burbrit when I'm there so I'll see how that goes!

 

1) Toppling Goliath Cosmic Archer (7.8% canned 3/20/24): A NEIPA from Iowa with Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin & Citra for flavors of orange citrus and pineapple zest, white grape, berries, and lychee. Zesty and clean.
versus
2) BlackStack Pseudoscience (8.4% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Citra, Nectaron, and Nelson for flavors of Orange citrus, pineapple, white grape, berries, and mango. Clean. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner: 1) Toppling Goliath Cosmic Archer
Toppling Goliath vs. Blackstack IPA Battle. This was a fun one. First is Toppling Goliath Cosmic Archer. Classic Toppling Goliath Citrus flower with some Mosaic and Nelson for a nice vinous and tropical balance for an addition.
Next is BlackStack Pseudoscience. A collab with Toppling Goliath with similar hop profile of Citra plus Nectaron and Nelson. Classic BlackStack flavors upfront of tropical pineapple and mango. I think Toppling Goliath keeps this clean and citrusy without getting too heavy and sweet. A banger of an IPA.
Both of these are fantastic. Cosmic Archer is one of the best TG IPAs I've have had. Probably my favorite IPA of 2024 so far.

Tripple IPA by Jopen. I will do them a favour and rate it next year. They might tweak it a bit to stand the test against Duvel and Lachouffe.
