Hey good BA folks.... nice to pull up a stool at the VB for a bit.

Spent Fri-Sat-Sun running up in Leadville for the run camp course and it was... a doozie.
Friday night was an absolute cold-soaker under heavy rain for about 13 miles, finished around 11 pm, pounded a bean burrito, had 4-5 hours of sleep, then.... Saturday was about a trail marathon (25.6 miles with 3500 ft of gain), and then Sunday was another 23 miler with 3800 ft of gain on a drier section of trail that is NOT part of the official course as Hope Pass still has/had a lot of snow on it and they'd recently had a wildfire.

So, a long weekend, that gave me 60+ miles of running at 9-12,000 ft, in less than 40 hours, and 90+ miles for the week (never done that, crazy volume for my old ass). Deets for @Beersnake and @tekstr1der

Now, I'm sucking down this collab between Evil Twin and Trillium, "CHOPPING WOOD" dipa, a fitting analogy to how I felt this weekend. 8.5% and DDH with Mosaic and some raw wildflower honey. It's solid, for a haze-bruh! No details on canning, but it tastes good.

Cheers, Hunter! That's a view from Leadville's mineral belt trail where I did a small, slow 5 mile recovery run this morning at sunrise, looking at the Mt Massive and Mt Elbert peaks (both 14'ers). Gorgeous day out there... cheers. Yeah this is tasty, a bit reminiscent of that recent Weldwerks with honey or a scaled down version of Hopslam in some ways. Quality...

Seriously... as I'd seen mentioned in one of the documentaries on the brewery... it's likely fresher than what's on the shelf for bottles in the Czech Republic.

 

Sesame chicken made with the brand Just Bare . Really great filets.

 

It was on another level good , might be the freshest I’ve had.

 

I love that Stone is bringing back the “fan favorites” that they haven’t packaged in a while, and this one may be at the top of my wish list. Big and brawny, it defines to me what Stone used to do so well - smack you in the face with a world class beer 2 x 4 and NEVER apologize for doing so. Absolutely love it.
