Watching Formula 1 Austria with a Duchesse Red. The cherry flavor, which I usually vary, actually integrates nicely with the underlying Flanders Red Ale.

Happy Sunday BA's! Slept in then rode 10.6 miles of hill repeats on the bike. Ology Brewing Sensory Overload for recovery. It's already 85 feels like 95 degrees so it's going to be a miserable afternoon unless the rain breaks it

 

Swiss lager and French Swiss Belgian Pale up in grindelwald first. A natural pair to our rosti loaded up with raclette, bacon, and egg. Prost!

 

Always a treat for me. So different.

Hello all. A beautiful day here. Wall to wall sunshine and 56F when I awoke this morning. Time for a new-to-me beer which will help me to start thinking about starting to think about making a plan.

Hazy Snake IPA



Orange Amber gold color with small white cap and little lacing.

Aroma of sharp, bitter, piney/citrusy hops with an emphasis on the citrus.

Taste on entry is delicious hop icing on a sweet malt cake. Yes, this stuff is good. Hops are sharply refreshing and redolent of citrus zest. Malt is rich, plentiful and could stand alone in other beer styles. The thing that strikes me most is balance from beginning to finish which is clean, lasting and refreshing.

Full texture with balancing carbonation.

The overall impression is great balance matched with satisfying flavors.
