And stop putting so much expensive, highly acidic fruit in it.

Shipping option within the state for the new loam set, pretty exciting they are rolling it out!

If they knew this was on the horizon, the rapid expansion of LC makes a little more sense.

Why are they charging $20 for the first shipper, $30 for the second shipper, and only 2 shippers per order?

    All of that confuses me.

Why they are choosing to use 3-bottle shippers exclusively isn’t quite intuitive either. Unless they aren’t and it is just suggestive from the loam. Regardless, no one in their right mind would pay $30 for the second shipper when they could just make 2 separate orders for $20 each.

It’s $30 for both, they worded it extremely poorly.

    Wow.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

For anyone that hasn’t seen it, here is the wording exactly:

    • These shippers can only be delivered to Missouri Addresses.
    • These shippers cannot be combined with other purchases including other (non-shipper) beers and merchandise.
    • Shipping cost is $20 for the first shipper, $30 for the second shipper ordered with a maximum of 2 shippers per order.
    • Deliveries require a signature and valid ID from a person 21+ and cannot be left at your doorstep.
    • Please contact UPS with any delivery concerns.
    • Orders ship within 7 days of purchase.

I wonder if that’s becasue of the label and name lol.

the other sounds much more appealing to me but that might be because I prefer Adam over Fred

Not going to lie, I find these no limit releases to be very irritating when it seems obvious there is little to go around. At least give a day before opening up the remainder.

I don't disagree with you. I bought mine and I'm fine, but seems odd to just open it up from the outset only to have it sell out an hour after you send an email saying you have a week to purchase.

Fucking ridiculous to give members a no-limit drop with no warning on a new beer when they could give everyone 1. Or, if not enough for everyone to have 1, don’t make it no limit. Or, at least give a warning that a sale will occur. Absolutely fucking stupid.

The funny thing is - now that it sold out, I wish I'd have bought an extra one.

If I'm reading correctly A long time ago is Adam + Langst but Adam isn't barrel aged is it? So this is only a partially barrel aged Adambier, whereas For Alan is a barrel aged strong ale + barrel aged barleywine. That may have more to do with the quick sell out than the silver font and wax. I know that's why I got 2 of the For Alan and only one of the Long Time Ago

Oh true but it sounds like the blends were barrel aged further even more.

Also I’m a big fan of regular and ba Adam so I’m really excited about this one for sure.

As long as they didn’t mix in cherry Adam :joy:

No For Alan for me. Work stuff, and by the time I saw the email at 12:38 it was sold out. I too don't get the no limit thing. Do a limit 2 or something, or just allow 1. I don't know, not my business to run I suppose.

Honestly, I'm most disappointed that I couldn't get down there in time to buy my case of La Ruche on a Sunday to stack some coupons. It's off the website now.

Excited to try A Long Time Ago as I very much enjoy Langst, and have never had Adam.

just because it’s off the website doesn’t mean it’s not available at the brewery or cellar. be sure to check their menus. cheers!

I'd wondered about that because it never got the "Low Stock" tag or whatever online. The harsh reality is that having 3 young kids makes the 6 hour roundtrip Sunday SP runs a challenge. The heart is so willing though...
