Oh hey there BAs. Tickled a few brauzinskies this weekend and I still have a lot of steam...and beers! I'm truly enjoying my time off from drumming. It can be taxing in many ways. Starting mellow today with Shiner Light Blonde. Once I get a review scrawled out I'll post 'er in the AAL thread as well. Sometimes my camera agrees with me, other times not so much. @GreenBayBA I feel your angst. But my lawn does look damn good. Cheers!

The wife made a fresh bison, onion, spinach, cheese pie for lunch, awesome stuff! Magnanimous Brewing Juicy Secret from yesterdays visit to the brewery. It's a DDH DIPA and it's great!

 

Ommegang and Other Half collab. I can’t explain why I don’t like this, but I don’t. I think it’s the Belgian yeast used, which I’ve never been a fan of. I had high hopes because they slapped OH’s name on it, but that’s probably exactly why they did it

 

Pulled off the last of the solid bullnose-slotted gutter guards I installed a couple years back. They did not handle the water volume sufficiently, making more of a foundation mess, and helped keep it moist up there to facilitate moss on the roof. I hate being 20’ up on a ladder alone, but I had to man up to get it done. Drinking some Founders all day IPAs. These are boring AF IMO. I really prefer the Genny Kolsch options for some actual flavor in a Satan’s piss drink.

 

At GABP for the Reds v. Tigers game. Drinking Bell's Two Hearted Ale. After ordering the beer, I was mildly annoyed with myself for ordering a Michigan beer when the Reds are playing a Michigan team...

OH is very hit or miss with me. I think they are TOO diverse in their trials and collabs, that makes for a bigger miss ratio. Their Quiet Space 2023 was the best of any type of beers they ever made. The 2024 QS is good, but doesn’t match the mystique of the PVW 21 barrels.
