@Providence Harpoon Flannel Friday is one of my favorite fall beers thats readily available in the area. Don't know when its going to show up (maybe next month) but I'm waiting for it. Can't say no to a well made hop forward amber ale.

Can you picture all those big boats docking in Chicago and transferring all those beers onto trucks to go into distribution? C'mon, Rhode Island is just so small that the distributors are overlooking you.

I don't think any cargo boats with import beer navigate the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Great Lakes to Chicago.

Pretty sure it's all trucks from the east coast.

Yeah, I was being facetious. I don't think big boats haul anything on the great lakes but iron ore, coal, and whatever gets delivered to Gary, Indiana, if it's other than coal or iron ore.

    Gypsum.

At least that was a big deal for the cement companies not long ago.

Last fall, picked up a single of this and was impressed! I'm going to be down for at least a six pack this time around.

I was waiting for this thread! We're going to have a few days in the 90's here and I'm still enjoying summer beers. Actually this weekend I'll be tapping a homebrewed Lime Lager and Lemon Shandy. However, I'll probably brew my annual Oktoberfest towards the end of July so it'll have time to cold condition before taping into it by September.

I haven't spotted anything in my neck of the woods yet but then again the last time I was in the package store was before the 4th so I wouldn't be surprised to see Oktoberfest's on the shelves.

That's one of my favorite seasonal brews. Spread the word if you see it. I shall do the same.

Can’t believe it’s almost been a week since Independence Day, so happy belated official start of fall everyone! I’m excited for all of the Oktoberfest beer I’ll be drinking in subtropical weather:beers:

I hadn’t had a Harpoon beer in forever, but had Flannel Friday last year and really liked it. Can take a little tracking down in the DC area, though.

Red/Amber ales are falling off. Theres not many around these days so I look forward to this one. I keep waiting for them to cancel it and not bring it back because nothing lasts forever but it keeps coming back thankfully and hopefully this year again too.

Pumking and Warlock spotted. I feel like they might have even showed up earlier last year.

Found Schlafly pumpkin, HB Oktoberfest and founders ultimate Oktoberfest. The rest of the seasonals are probably sitting on a truck somewhere.

Just made a couple stops this weekend to Big Gary's in Putnam and not a single sign of fall brews as of yet. I'm enjoying this hot summer we've been having however I'm almost in the mood. Usually in August I start searching for Southern Tier's Harvest Ale to kick off the season.

Saw Masthead Brewing (Cleveland, OH) Oktoberfest in a beer store last week that was canned on July 9. I bought a 4 pk just because. Pretty tasty.
