Before their new brewery in Windsor, I remember when seeing this tap handle was a special thing:

    1) Modist Fang & Bone (5.3%): An oak-aged New Zealand Pils from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, lemon citrus. Clean.
    versus
    2) BlackStack Slopes (4.6%): A French Style Pilsner from Minnesota with flavors of smooth pale bread malts, mild tropical flavors. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner: Modist Fang & Bone
New Zealand vs. French Pilsner Battle. First is Modist Fang & Bone, an oak-aged NZ Pils. Pours beautifully. Nice lemon citrus flavors, not as much oak as I expected. Hoppy.
Next is BlackStack Slopes, a French-style pilsner for what that's worth. I suppose using French hops and malts. Smooth, earthy, but not a whole lot of flavors here. Not bad, but I'm going with Modist's NZ Pils on this one.
