Hopefully the same for our Houston breweries! What a crazy storm. Or more accurately, what a crazy aftermath of a relatively mild storm....
Still no power for me (I'm in the Heights). I left for a few days, to Blanco. Brewery and Distillery hopping after I work remotely in the hotel ha.
Ditto here, hope all are safe and will soon have power back, got mine on Wed evening and was so grateful. But honestly what this whole experience has shown me is people DO NOT KNOW YIELDING PROTOCOL AT STOPLIGHTS. Man I cannot tell you how frustrating it is and how it only takes a few idiots to reek havoc on an intersection. Stay safe and at least we are not floating in the high 90's the past few days.
If we are talking about bottle shares, maybe a breweries taproom, if people have a good relationship with owners/managers? Other than that, I don't think so...Nobi's in Webster use to host these a while ago as well, but haven't been down that way in a while. For me personally, I don't really have anything interesting to share anymore (that can't be regularly picked up around town) ha, but I'm always up for just meeting someplace, to support a local spot, for a few at wherever.
I have seen people do bottleshares out at the Craft Beer Cellar on Barker Cypress, not really Houston, but they always seem to have some interesting stuff on tap. I haven't really been there since covid, but the guy running it back then seemed real nice. Unfortunately I have a lot of bottles that need to be shared .
I think that would have been right when we stopped doing the meeting, so you made it to one of the last ones ha.
