Both are quite available at Half Acre's taproom for those in the city.

Select is phenomenal. Bright, citrusy with a touch of malt. It takes the crown for me.

Can't remember if I already posted this, but Half Acre Select >>>>>>>>>>> Half Acre 15

Half jokingly, I might put one more '>' in there. Had both this evening and the 15 was too 'tropical' for my preferences. Maybe the HBC 1019 hops evoking some coconut is the culprit (which I detest. FU Sabro btw )? I dunno. ymmv. But at the same time, Select is a solid beer. Really enjoyed this one and looking forward to the rest of the 4 pack.

I found it (select) today- canned 5/23- get it now if you’ve bee missing a classic DIPA. I don’t need more beer as I try to lose weight, but I need to pick up more

HA posted some crazy Daisy Cutter TIPA variant (which is likely brewery only but HA being HA keeps folks in the dark). Meanwhile, I picked up another DC Select 4pk at the local grocer (13.99 FTW). I already know the reply to this question, well, really, proclamation but DC Select needs to be a seasonal release. This is the DIPA I need, seasonally, at the very least. It seems others might have a similar thought. But being a collaboration with SN, I'm thinking it's a one and done, unfortunately. Or maybe it pops up in 2041 with the Brood XIII re-emergence. In which case, I say, bring those red-eyed, noisy muthaf&^#rs on.

It is brewery only. They will usually state when it is distro. It also said in their June email that it is available at the brewery while supplies last.

Was disappointed in 15 as well. Was just another hazy imo. The Sierra Nevada collab was good, had that nice resiny OG characteristic. But I would of liked a bit more hop bite.

Hoping somebody went went to the anniversary party and checked out all the variants of DC.

I went. Admittedly, I am a fan of fruited beers (less so now but enjoy them). The Boysenberry was the winner, imo. I also thought the fruit cocktail was nice. I feel the good thing about 15 is the flavor profile of the base beer lends itself well to adding fruit.

Side note: this place was PACKED and I got there right at 2. Around 5:15, went inside for my last pour and they were tapped out on select so they were doing can pours. Also ran out of draft of 15. And the bands hadn’t even started! Not a complaint, but if I had arrived later in the evening and was getting can pours, I would’ve had the one and moved on somewhere else.

At the anniversary party I asked one of the bartenders what was the deal with the Benthic Milkshake. He said he was never informed what it even was. Part of me feels like it was originally intended to be a Benthic inspired creamy delight but maybe the ice cream machine failed in typical McDonald's fashion.

That’s funny, I asked as well. He didn’t convince me that it was actually just a milkshake. It was 13%!!

Hopefully it was similar to the Chocolate Shake at the Weiners Circle.

Is there anyone who knows the people there and can pester them into making a season ticket thing like rev does for their BA beers? Almost everywhere else I'm buying BA stouts from lately is disappointing me.
