Wassup Larry, you still not smoking buds?

 

Finally given the wonderful nucleated glass from @jasonja a proper initiation with a Blackberry Farm Brewery brand proper Tennessee Jeppe and the Thoroughbred Hillbilly. Five and a half years barrel aged is the longest barrel aged beer I’ve tried. It does not disappoint. The maple calls up a slight sweetness right behind a mildly hot bourbon, rife with a mellow tannin presence. The malts are hearty with a nice “grain” sort of vibe. Mouthfeel is medium, nice for the cold pour temp and the hot porch temp. Bourbon still has a little spring up front. Very crushable.

 

Not often, but smoked a bit of bud tonight, enjoyed it! Nice ink BTW.

Youngest daughter is moving to Florida. They close on their house 7/25. I am going to miss seeing them (daughter, son-in-law, and soon to be two year old granddaughter). Maybe when they invite the old man down to visit we can meet up and you can buy me a few beers!

They have a taproom and a food counter (Smashburgers!!!) where I live as well (South Bend IN area). They're very good, and have been for a long time, IMHO. Cheers back at you!!!

Don't usually drink stouts too often at night, but made it to the house from Sheboygan with no drama, wife had a Skrewball shot ready (no pic, had to pay attention to her talking for 30 minutes), and she had pizza with onion and bacon ready to cook for supper. Sorry, too long, but KBS Spicy Chocolate is tasting amazing, and I'm retired and don't have to do shit tomorrow.....jus sayin......

First song that came to mind....she talked for a full 30 minutes......plus I love it cranked......
