They stopped making it when they sold out to AB-In Bev.

By definition, I could also say "all beer" from 2019-23 ... I took all beer for granted when I started my deep dive into the world of whisk[e]y, but I've since fixed that mistake.

Most of the beers I enjoyed from 2012-2017, I'd wager.

...given enough time, I'd bore you (and everyone else) with a laundry list...but for now, just this one:

North Coast Brewing Co . -- Red Seal

...yes, still being made, but for some odd distribution incomprehensibility factor, it's not even available to me as a special order...ah, sigh...when one wants to go back to a great old standby...I take it for granted I'll readily find it, but other than things like Old Rasputin, Scrimshaw and Brother Thelonious (all great beers and readily available), this old school American pale ale seems beyond my reach locally...

...and I know I said no laundry list, but NM is just across the CO border, and other than La Cumbre, I don't see as many Marble or Ex Novo beers as I'd like to see around here...but this isn't BeerGoot's beer world...still, I pine away...

...I am fortunate that other beers I take for granted, e.g., Two Hearted Ale, Sip of Sunshine, and many Russian River beers are readily available, so it all evens out in one regard...and I still spend some coin on these beauties every so often...

Based on this - all the Stone beers that got discontinued from full time status - SSR, Double Bastard, Old Guardian, IRS. Obviously over the last 10 years I was buying less of them as the store shelves got more crowded and my beer dollars got spread around.

Made sure I bought 2 six packs of the Double Bastard re-release the first week it was available near me.

Reading this reminded me how much I miss Cali-Belgique also.

Having been in this game since the mid-1990's, is the answer "none" acceptable?

I've always enjoyed the great beers being produced since I started this exploration. Never felt I was taking any available beer for grated. Always have been fortunate enough that any good beer I was interested in ended up in my glass, due to having a good group of friends, forunate circumstance, good beer people in general, or my own curiousity.

So honestly, I felt like I never took any this for granted, but recognized the special time I found myself in.

It's your perspective, sir. Who is anyone else to tell you otherwise? Thanks for contributing, and cheers!

Something we'd all do well to remember. If we can manage between complaining about seltzer, smoothie beers, and whatever other modern beer trends we don't like!

But hey, I guess you gotta find a hobby when you're living in the most remarkably rich beer market in global history.

So many. People have probably already named these but....

Grand Teton--Idaho. They had an imperial farmhouse about six or seven years ago that was otherworldly. Haven't seen them for about five years on the barren prairie.

But most problematic--the disappearance of Old World Belgian brews. They used to be easily scored. Less so, now. Including:

Brasserie de l'Abbaye du Val-Dieu (or just Val Dieu). My favorite Tripel and a solid Quad. Haven't seen anything from this brewer in some time.

    Malheur--10 was my favorite.

oh man. i hope not. i went to evil genius for the first time about 1.5 years ago. this would have been after that first stoudt's o-fest release mentioned in the article. first, they didn't have any stoudt's beer on. second, evil genius beer was not, shall we say, well made. i'd be afraid of what they would do to those beautiful recipes. i'm gonna go check some ratings now and ill be doing so from behind mostly-covered-eyeballs

Genesee/Dundee Honey Brown. That was my go to as a cheap AAL substitute but it has slowly disappeared in my area where as 10 years ago it was in every liquor store.

I have had the Stoudts Gold Lager (Helles) at recent beer festivals and I enjoyed drinking that beer brand.

    Cheers!

The original fat tire. Loved that beer, helped get me into craft beer. There was a bar near where my folks live that always had it on tap (way better on tap!). Not only is the beer gone, the bar owner retired and sold the building. The new fat tire is a shell of the former
Another would be La trappe quad, my wife’s favorite. It still exists but it is getting harder and harder to find. Even Belgianstyleales.com is going under, which was the last resort when everyone was out around us. Two of the belgian bars that sold to go bottles where we would load up at when visiting family have both closed down too.

And then having moved a couple of times there are so many, especially non-hoppy ales or non-ba strong ales

Unfortunately, I live in a beer oasis and am still looking for stores where I can purchase this online. I might have to travel the country with a few large coolers; buying beers like an apocalypse is about to happen.

I am able to get these beers regularly. If you need a few beers sent to enjoy, I could probably accommodate this request when I am able to find them.

All the sculpin, especially grapefruit. I don't wanna say I didn't indulge when they were here, because I did, but it is definatly missed.

Also double trouble and dark penance by founders. Are those even around anymore?
