Never heard of Heino before here on the other side of the Rhine River, not bad for ”Volkmusik” (Folks music…?)

Yep! Much better while drinking a traditional German beer. After all, Bob Marley if you’re not high doesn’t make any sense either.

    Cheers!

Rick is a little stunned by how much Tree House I've been pouring lately. Fine, fine, I'll get back to my regular.

New Oberpfaltz Oktoberfest. They just tapped this one and it’s drinking mighty fine. My first Oktoberfest of the year. This brewery’s version is one I try every year. They know their lagers.

New Oberpfaltz Toad Storm DIPA (Citra/Mosaic). Love that these guys have just continued to make old school IPA over the past 10 years like the NE style never happened. Navel orange flesh and peel, grapefruit peel, floral, big orange marmalade, resinous pine. Bready and slight caramel malts give way to a semi dry and bitter finish. This is an excellent classic DIPA.

Heino (1938) is a German schlager and folk music (Volksmusik) singer with cult-status in Germany and Austria. Known here too, but that is more the east part of NL at the German border. He is almost never seen without his dark glasses, because of something with his eyes. Also a nice trademark, somewhat like Roy Orbison.

    Cheers!

Forgot how good this beer is. Local too. I think sometimes I spend too much time looking for new beer to try when I should spend more on the beers I know I like.

Hop Butcher/Gnosis Skyway Sailors IPA (Simcoe, Peacharine, NZH-106). White peach, nectarine, ruby red grapefruit, clementine, lime, bright floral, pine. Not very sweet at all with a nice bitterness on the finish. Soft and smooth. A typical great Hop Butcher hazy single IPA.

Another Urquell along with sausage fortifications.

The sauerkraut was made by a good friend, and it's super delicious.

He gifted me 2 x 1qt containers of the stuff like a year ago. Only gets better with time.

@LarryV, I missed the question yesterday about Exhibit A, Yes they are heade to that space.
The brewery manufacturing side is modern 3 level , bolted on to an old travel tavern buiding.
Since the oringinal restaraunt, went out, after many years, due to retirement of the family members.
Subsequent attempts have all had short lives.

    Do good
    Be well

I’ve just asked about him to a German friend. He was basically a laughing stock who turned cool with age, especially when performing with Rammstein. Cheers!

New Glarus IPA. Lemon and grapefruit with earthy, herbaceous, grassy, and piney undertones. An awesome crisp, old school IPA. Leave it to New Glarus to make an infinitely drinkable IPA.
