Thats actually a disappointment because its the same Sam Adams fall variety pack as last year except they replaced the "Hoppy Lager" with Boston Lager. Surprised they brought the Flannel Fest back and theres no new beers in it.

While grocery shopping yesterday I saw a number of Pumpkin beers and Oktoberfest brands in stacks in the aisle. Just in time for the fourth heat wave of the summer (so far)!

    Cheers!

Yes, this is the same discussion we have every late July - August here - that is when fall seasonals come out.....just like summer seasonals come out in March, XMas beers in October etc.....nothing new here

Let's talk about Home Depot selling out of their Halloween decorations already.

No beer at grocery stores here so we're at the mercy of liquor stores so no wonder I havent seen any fall beers yet. I think if you could get beer/alcohol at grocery stores here the fall beers might have shown up by now.

Weihenstephan seems to be the first import I’ve seen in NJ, saw bottles yesterday. Bottled first week of April; seems about the same bottling as years past around here.

Trying 2024 Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest. It’s similar to last year’s in that it’s fairly hoppy and is vaguely similar to Summerfest. Pretty strong bitterness. I’d probably buy another six pack.

Saw Allagash’s Haunted House at Safeway today. It’s in 6-packs this year (love that). I’ll get some eventually, but for me it’s way too early and way too hot for this type of beer.

How is it? I usually wait until October to pick this up, but am wondering if I should just drink it fresh (it’s 95 degrees out here, though!)

If Haunted House is in 6 packs now it has to be in 12 packs as well. Their summer seasonal is in 12 packs so why wouldnt the fall seasonal be ya know ?

Stop me if you’ve heard this before but it’s just too damn early and it’s not as fun if you aren’t enjoying it in the season it was meant to be enjoyed!

I'll be heading to Ohio this week to visit some Family and usually I can find ST Harvest out there as well as Oktoberfest from Great Lakes and Fat heads....along with anything else I can find. I had an Oktoberfest from Great Lakes a couple years ago and it definitely felt strange when it was 88 degrees out. Spectacular beer though.
