Hop Butcher Podium Party DIPA (Simcoe, Sabro, Citra, Motueka, Manilita, Nelson, Riwaka, NZ Cascade). Went to my local beer shop and found this one. I used to drive an hour plus to get these guys and now it's 5 minutes for their freshest stuff.

This is very appropriate for National IPA Day, as this one has 8 different hops. The hop character is muddled as expected due to so much going on, but I can still pick out ruby red grapefruit, orange marmalade, citrus peel, lime, herbal notes, floral, and pine. The malt presence is old school and balances the beer. Old school DIPA with a drier and crisper sensibility.

Chose this one purposely to last thru 2200 hours of todays Olympics 2 hour wrap up. Revolution Brewing Deep Woods Series Deth by Cherries.....it's f'ing amazing!!!

 

This tune and album always seemed to exist in a dream space as a successful modern jazz experiment. I love it!!!
