Weird history on the beer for me.

Loved it in the 80s
Was a pretty good brewed under license in the UK in the late 80s-90s

Not sure I've had it in awhile

The few times I saw them in the CO was roadside. I think the Canyons & Passes force them on to the road a lot

I even think I've seen him before, lol I've seen a few, never in this area, but across the road is the CNM, where I've seen quite a few, might have seen this guy a couple of times, maybe, lol I think he is making his way to the Grand Mesa, which from this spot is less than 50 miles away, and that is by road, lot shorter, basically as the crow flies, lol He's still pretty young, I've seen others bigger, and older looking.

Quite the oddity tonight. On the bright side, I’ll just keep trying beers until I hit a winner.

1)Hop Soda-India Pale Lager
2)Sculpin
3)Grapefruit Sculpin
4)CryePA India Pale Ale

Hop Soda is great. The Sculpin beers are nowhere as good as I remembered them. The rye ipa is very floral and busy.

 

It's an old school Wisconsin thing. Just a laid back family dinner. You typically order a drink at the bar and place your dinner order. Once your appetizers/salads are ready you are seated at the table. The table usually has freebies like bread baskets and relish trays (pickles/veggies/olives/etc). Pretty awesome.

I saw @beerdedking's reply to this post before I saw the original, and I concur this is @eppCOS' finest post. @eppCOS earned this beer, and for me to see a beer with that title, brewed by that brewery, is remarkable. Chapel of Ghouls is the greatest song off what is often regarded as the greatest death metal album of all time. The lyrics to that song, and the way David Vincent performs them, hit so hard every time you listen to it. I play that song all the time when I need a boost while running. @eppCOS is the best possible person to post this beer, and TRVE Brewing is the only brewery worthy of using that song title.
