Never Did Say Hello

    Hello friends.
    I finally clicked on my points and realized that there's an entire "Introduce Yourself" element to this. I have been using Beer Advocate for four years the day after May Day. I think there were some things happening four May Days ago that would have perhaps drove one to drink more beer...
    Thus, while belated, hello from Philadelphia. It's the best city in the USA but, please, stop moving here if you're going to blow your horn instead of helping when someone's vehicle is ruining their day, stare at and criticize the sanitation workers, ask to see the manager at every neighborhood joint, believe noise ordinances are supposed to be enforced, affect decorum at the stadiums, and/or engage in other anti-Philly behavior. Here we love helping each other, radicalism, beer and having fun.

    So there is justification for the city's nickname - The City of Brotherly Love. I was there a couple times around 50 years ago, but it was for business training each time and they never let us get out and about to experience the citizenry. (Well they bussed us to a Phillies game once.) It's got the reputation of being a great beer city, so I hope to get back someday.

    Ok. First off, I love Philly. And in part, a small part mind you, it is because they pelted Santa Clause with snowballs one day back in 1968. Please forgive me even though I know what I am doing…. . Yeah, it’s wrong, but it’s funny! :smiley:

    Thanks for checking in @Emichaelbray ! I have visited Philadelphia in the past, the only NE city I will go to of my own volition at this stage of life, but my trip in April was the first time as a craft beer drinker. Such a great city, Monk's Pub, great breweries, the cheesesteaks, and the great people of Philadelphia. Hope to return soon.
