Another thing I’d add was it was cool they were selling vintage Clover, Samuel, etc. in the retail shop throughout the week. Nice for fest attendees and also those who didn’t get tickets.

Cans from last week are good as hell right now. S&S 10 is the best DIPA I’ve had from them in a minute

Any mention of a 2025 FOFA date?

My friends have been having a beer trip at a lakehouse every summer for a while now, but FOFA was on the same weekend this year so the lakehouse took precedent. I've wanted to do FOFA forever but don't want to mess up what's become this super anticipated weekend for the guys every year--knowing ahead of time might give us time to shift weekends. With everyone adulting these days, it's tough coordinating outside of just setting a date 12 months in advance.

I want to express deep gratitude for this post. This is the sort of granular look I take before a big beer trip, and it’s good to know that even if I’m not proven sane, then at least there are others out there like me.

Anyone know if blackback pub fills growlers to go?

speaking of overly obsessive planning, I’ll be doing a cross reference between the hill farmstead drafts at blackback vs what’s on at the brewery since I’ll be going to blackback the day before hitting up HF.

    Peas in a pod.

You should see the customized maps I make before any road trip.

I’ve never asked but I’m 99.99% sure they do not. Been there many times and never seen growlers offered.

    +1

This S&S10 is way better than the DG and DR cans I had a month or so ago. Actually hazy too

The Bench in Stowe is still a safe bet for a good draft list with at least a few Hills on draft, right?

The website doesn't appear to be updated. It still says "April 6 draft list". At that time they had like9 Hills on draft, which is pretty crazy. I couldn't find an updated list. My three main dining spots for my 3 days are The Bench, Doc Ponds, And Blackback. Just making sure I shouldn't pivot the bench to something else. I also might stop at positive pie in Hardwick on the way back from Hill. Did Parker Pie last time, which was good, but Hardwick is more en route since I'll be making a stop at Willey's on my way back to stowe also.

If you type in “the bench Stowe” on Untappd and choose “venue” you can see all the most recent checkins: Self Reliance: Riwaka, Arthur (which someone gave 2 stars!), Conduct of Life, S&S7, Edward and Double Citra all on Aug 10 or sooner.

NOICE!! that's a nice list. A lot of stuff that's different than what's on at HF at the moment. LOL at rating Arthur a 2

If you're going to be near Burlington at all...during one trip I discovered that Mule Bar in Winooski has a ton of HF on draft. Just looked at their taplist updated today, and it's 5 of 15 beers:

Same goes for the Archives in Burlington, right off Pine Street. 7 of 24 drafts:

Had to shoot to Holbrook MA last evening for a wake.

Decided to shoot over to Canton after for very non beer related sight seeing and to see a lawn…then headed over to C.F. McCarthy for a meal of food. Was shocked to see Hill Farmstead Harlan on tap. Tasted great and I will say the food was quite good. Would actually go back. Didn’t realize Hill Farm is kind of just all over MA now as I’ve seen it mostly closer to Boston.

Was at Night Shift in that games place at the Natick Mall a few weeks ago, they had 2 HF taps (and a bunch of other good stuff) with more on deck. The idea of HF at the Natick Mall made me giggle a bit, it was fun.

Is that madness and civilization 9 on draft really like a 7+ year old beer? Seems like a special treat.

I wouldn't be surprised. I was there a few weeks ago and they had 2015 Beyond Good & Evil on tap.

For most of the summer they've had at least 1-2 vintage kegs pouring at all times. Clover b1, WoL SARA, Damon '20, Flora BBR to name a few. It's been pretty awesome.
