    Hello Saturday!

    I'm watching my Cats go into the last quarter four points down against Fremantle, with a spot in the top four leading into the finals at stake. If that meant nothing to you, nod and say, "Go Cats!" and you'll be doing okay.

    While my boys slog it out over in the West, I'm slogging my way through a 13% ABV barrel-aged monster from the lost and lamented Deeds Brewing, one of the many victims of the downturn in the Australian brewing industry. With beer this big, however, their legend will long live on.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer, one lost in the depths of Beer Reefer #1, that survived NUR, FRA, YYZ, and the deer-dodging nocturnal drive home through the fringes of the Allegheny Forest:

    Final Impression and summation: 4 Despite the initial oddness of the Rieslingmust/toasted barley aroma and taste, as it warms it becomes quite tasty, with the Riesling becoming dominant.

    Been up for some time, roofers and tree trimmers making all sorts of noise, so rating this beer and then going out for groceries and an early lunch before hopefully sleep all afternoon.

    Full review linked above (First review, so 0% rDev), New Beer Weekend #212 comments linked here. Bottom line, this is a lager with a twist of pineapple and citrus, and worked out fine for me despite my preference for straight no chaser bourbons and beers.

    Will set the alarm for the early evening Sox game on Fox, a rare free TV game, on mute with the Saturday evening ME-TV Radio Yacht Rock on. Nice to see them with life and good vibes last night.

    Much cooler temps reigning right now. I'm sipping on this very bitter 2022 edition of Brussels Calling. BB January 11th 2023, I'm kinda amazed that this IPA is still drinkable.

    Same here. Although I see a few AzfromOz and Hephaistos and Sawdog505 but none of the others. Problems with a particular host?
