    Hello!

    I spent most of the afternoon with my 17-year-old daughter at an emergency clinic after she landed on her opponent's foot while playing netball and did all sorts of damage to her ankle. All of the scans have come back clear, so while I have a girl hopping around on crutches, the worst-case scenario is to miss a couple of weeks and be back in time for finals.

    Such a day of drama meant a big beer was required to calm my nerves, and this 14.5% monster from Deeds Brewing fits the bill perfectly. This is a masterclass in hiding alcohol, and the chocolate, raspberry, vanilla, and whiskey-woodiness it presents makes it an absolute joy to drink. I'll probably be rolling around in an hour or so, but by then, Geelong will be on the telly, fighting for a spot in the top two a couple of rounds out from the pointy end of the year, and I'll be suitably chilled for the two hours of action to follow.

    I'm sorry if this Australian sporting landscape made no sense to you, but may your Saturday be full of beer and sports of whatever variety you crave!

    Saturday sees me with a Super Massive Blackhole with Cocoa (Cheeeers!) in the glass, and taking a look at some of the souvenirs brought from our month-long European tour.
    Amazing how fast it went by!
    Bags are barely unpacked and we’re talking of a week in Egypt in October.,.

    Live dropped a new single. 30th anniversary tour going on too.,,
