Oh dang, that's irritating. I was planning to order tonight. Did they say anything about it? I've noticed quite a few beers this year showing as sold out and then popping up again a day or week later. Fingers crossed I guess.

They sent a super long email about it in March, but this pertains to your specific question:

So, to cut to the chase, we will be opening The Bruery at Eagle View Landing in Boise, ID, later this year. I get it, you didn't see that one coming, and neither did any of us. But, when you look at the market, demographics, and x factor of having a partner who is knowledgeable, passionate, and trustworthy, you can see the logic. Since 1969, the US population has grown 65% while the Boise metro area has grown 330%! Our specific location is in a new development known as Eagle View Landing, which includes Top Golf, two 115 key hotels, 750k square feet of class A office space, 400 multi-family residential units all within 200 yards of the new tasting room.

idk how this will work out. 9$ pours when minimum wage is 7.25$ in Idaho. Won’t last unfortunately

Home prices are significantly lower, they have enough extra money to burn.

Thanks for the O&D GIR tip—just grabbed some!

Drinking the first Parlor box beer. It’s good. Not a banana bomb, banana is pretty muted but peanut and vanilla on the finish blend well. Over all pleasant and a good abv level for a weeknight. Worth $12 for a pint? I’m not sure, everything is so expensive these days it’s hard to say. Based on tastes so far, I would consider another box, but my stock is pretty full at the moment. We’ll see how the others play out.

Are you drinking them all one by one? Are you going to try any blending?

Port of Naples is fine... not the standout I hoped it might be.

Fairly dry for a Bruery beer BA (credit for being a bit different in that regard). I don't really get the port barrel at all. Body is thin but also has a nice creaminess. Vanilla and bakers chocolate flavors are both pretty nice - enjoyable but not overwhelming.

One by one to start. Although I did side-by-side on two and three. They’re all pretty good on there own. Two and four, the pineapple and the cherry, are best warmed up to room temp where the fruit flavor comes out. No. 3, the drizzle is the most unexpected. It really is like a caramel drizzle and not something I think I’ve tasted from the Bruery before. For the next round I’m definitely going to mix. I think the drizzle will go best with the cherry (doesn’t have the underlying sweetness like the pineapple and the banana), which is what I will probably do. All four at once is a bit much solo! But maybe a share-fest somewhere down the road…

One & Dunn Imperial Grand Reserve

It's fantastic. Very similar to "regular" Grand Reserve (which I also loved).

If I was being hyper judgy (it is a $30 bottle small bottle) I'd wish it was less cloying. The sweetness is strong though not over done, but I think it's a little distracting.

Other than that, it is super smooth and mellow. Nice warmth but no heat. Tons of rich flavor and very balanced. The barrel and malt flavors are balanced about 50/50, which is a nice contrast to the BT variants that I find more spirit-forward. Not that one is better than the other, just nice that they did something different with this release.

Judging from email from Barry Holmes, Bruery is moving to all 375 ml bottles next year. Societies still get same amount of liquid, just split across more bottles (24 for Reserve, 48 for Hoarders).

Looks like the pages are up for next year too, though they're not linked anywhere (if you change the relevant society URL from 2024 to 2025, you can see them). Some interesting stuff next year, not sure it'll be as good as this year though, will have to give it a more thorough look when I get some more time.

So looks like some non ba stuff will be included beers, and it’ll be interesting to see how shipping works, if it’ll remain the same price or get cheaper for smaller bottles

I don’t expect shipping to get cheaper unless they change how they ship. They are currently shipping 375-only orders using the 750 wine shippers still… huge waste.

Fingers crossed with majority 375 they can justify stocking packaging that fits.

With four little bottles each month, it would be really interesting if they could do little 4-6 box shippers at maybe the $10 price point? Get them early to try before buying more mid month. A guy can dream...

Overall there are several beers next year that look promising, and I'm glad to only have 375 of any I don't love.
