Any kind of snack but not too much. My stomach can't handle both. I never eat snack at home only when someone offers me when I go out.

I’d go with a cheese & meats (salami, pepperonis etc and crackers as my first choice (charcuterie board) . Soft German pretzel with beer cheese to dip in as 2nd choice and assorted nuts as 3rd. I love cashews but salted peanuts also work. I despite those hard, dry pretzels you buy in a bag however.

    Good Deal!
Lowest price for me was $3.49 from $3.99. I think when they have a lot, and they`re starting to dry they lower the price. But I like them dry. Hard part is getting home from the deli without opening the package and having one in the car. They make a great car deodorizer! HA!

Cashews are my norm at home, but when I go out, I'm about some cured meat and cheese.
Favorite meats: Prosciutto, Wedding Kielbasa, Loukaniko (favorite with IPAs), Spanish Chorizo, Bresaola, Landjager, Speck, real Virginia Country Ham, lamb ham, Mole salami with stouts, Nduja.
Cheeses: Clothbound Cheddars with IPAs (Montgomery's is my favorite overall, Shelburne with something on the maltier side, Lincolnshire Poacher for a more tropical feel, Isle of Mull to go with something a bit more earthy), Stilton with barleywines and imperial stouts, Alpines with malty lagers, washed rinds with darker Belgians, bloomy rinds with saison or tripel, Parmigiano Reggiano or Sbrinz with pils. Aged gouda with anything that has a caramelly flavor.

Yes, this. I always go with pretzels especially if reviewing a new beer. When I've got a big beer, usually during the winter, I'll add some more substance with good bread and cheese.

Pretzels. I love a soft Bavarian style but I also like a bowl of crunchy Bachmanns

Nachos, then pretzels, then cheese and crackers, and finally nuts.

    …and another beer!

I just had a blueberry fritter with my Zombie Dust...
I like most everything I have tried with a beer...except popcorn. I know this is a bit odd, but so am I, I suppose...

I love chocolate chip cookies, but I typically save the sweet pairings for my morning coffee. Although, after reading this, I want cookies now!

It is pretty evident where I stand on this issue but with that said, i have secretly hid meat, cheese, chips, pretzels, cookies, and a cheeseburger if it was available into that mug of popcorn for years.

Kobenasa at the nearest Polish deli is about $11 a pound, and worth every penny.

A big soft pretzel and some beer cheese dip is ideal. One of best beer cheese dips I've made had Deschuttes Black Butte in it btw. But some cheese.and hard pretzels will do for ease.

We have a small Eastern European market nearby, and I'll go there a month before a beer fest and grab some of these, and hang them to dry until festival time, and that's our pretzel necklace substitute.

There is not nearly enough love for beer cheese (and pretzels) on this thread, and it hurts me inside.

Schuler's Bar Cheese by chance? That stuff can be addictive.

Nope. Beer Cheese. Original recipe credited to Hall's on the River, Winchester KY. Many make it now, especially around Kentucky, but I make my own as do many others. Can pretty much use any beer below 9%, and spice/season to taste. There's a number of recipes online, most basic ingredients are beer, cheese, garlic, mustard powder, Worcestershire sauce.
