I may be in the minority but I've never gotten quite as excited by stouts served still, which the silent barrel and candles series always are. They are still good beers and I enjoy the idea of giving us the experience of what it's like tasting straight from the barrel but beer as a finished product has carbonation. Even the minimal carbonation in their usual stouts just makes for a more enjoyable drinking experience. The lack of carb makes it feel more like syrup and harder to drink an entire bottle. Curious if other people feel the same or if people enjoy big beers served "still"

    Finally, a new lager!

Join us at The Brewery on September 7th as we release our collaboration beer, For Friends. This golden lager made with rice and corn was brewed with Friends of Kids with Cancer (FOKWC) in honor of September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. For Friends will be available on Draft and in Cans to-go with a portion of the proceeds going back to FOKWC.

Now, we just need Blue Jay to start canning beers.

Finally, after 78 years, @TNCraftBeer has found an upside to living in Tennessee.

I'm going to Knoxville the first week in October. Wasn't really familiar with Xul before. Guess I know which brewery to stop at now.

If you are living in or forced to drive through Nashville or Knoxville even once a year, there is no upside. Driven all over the country and in other parts of the world, and I’d rather drive anywhere but Nashville.

For me, that’s Boston. Those narrow one lane roads are terrible.

Losing a phone signal when you’re in an underground tunnel trying to figure out what exit Waze wants you to take isn’t exactly a picnic either.

Switzerland has impressively long tunnels, and amazingly they have figured it out. Does it still drop? Yea, but not like in the U.S. You get out of line of sight in the U.S. and sometimes the GPS feature just have no idea. Of course, Switzerland has also figured out how to have service all around 14K mountains (valleys below, between and on top), and yet the rolling hills in S Missouri, and you be fucked. Hell, I can think of 4 major U.S. cities in the Midwest where Verizon just “drops” consistently in the same locations. The U.S. does a lot well, but I am not sure cell service is one of them.

    You live in Ohio. Lmfao

Folks are fleeing your state and moving to mine. Most to avoid you I’m assuming

Yes, please get the word out that TN is terrible and people should stop moving here. Specifically Nashville. We're full.

Ohio might be a tough sell as an alternative, to say the least. But hey it's worth a shot I guess.
