    Tuesday cheers beer peeps!

Currently sipping on Brooklyn East IPA… one of the few American brewery left here, whereas we used to find Boulevard, Sierra Nevada, Stone and so forth quite easily.

    Cheers!

Allowing myself to post a tune from our friend @LarryV who used a drawing of mine for his own work. As we often say: BA and the Virtual Bar is about beer but so much more than that…

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting us off! I've often been jealous of the selection of Murican brews you find - certainly a wider selection than we get here, but that's probably a distribution issue:

Anyway, today's Breakfast Beer, one of those purchased at Bell's general store on last week's trip to MI:

I last had this 02 Jun 2016, but this seems to be somewhat different.

Good morning, fellow BA's! I'm drinking Buckeye Beer, from Maumee Bay Brewing Co., Toledo, OH. In my review I said this was a cut above your average AAL. (Low bar, I know.) When I logged in to upload the review, I discovered that this is actually a Czech Pilsner. Untappd says it's a pale lager. Regardless, it's pretty good. Plus it'd be a great cookout beer if your guests are fans of TTUN. :stuck_out_tongue:

    Good morning!
We had some thunderstorms move through here last night. Lost power for about fifteen minutes, first time for that in the six years we've lived here.
    Enjoying this stout.

Will join @Ozzylizard with a shared beer selection. Like these in cold weather, which my rare AC use makes it feel like on a day pegged to reach 98 F (91 F already).

    Bell's Kalamazoo Stout

This one is six months beyond best by (2/25/24) so won't judge, but New Belgium reps here have prioritized their beers over Bell's since the jump, so don't really buy much from them anymore as the selection variety seems to have dried up.

Missing the late night sunsets, autumn indeed closing in.

    1) Rothaus Tannenzapfle (5.1%): An authentic German Pilsner with flavors of lemon citrus, bread, bitter and dry yeast.
    versus
    2) Modist Just You Wait (5.2%): A German Pilsner from Minnesota aged in oak barrels for flavors of earthy and grassy bread notes. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner: Rothaus Tannenzapfle
German Pils Battle. First is Rothaus. Floral and grassy. Bitter. Excellent and becoming one of my favorite German Pilsners.
Next is Modist Just You Wait. From Minneosta and aged in oak barrels. It carries a smooth, earthy and bready note. A bit more sweet. Overall, they are quite similar, but it wasn't too hard to tell which was the German one and which was from the US.

Good afternoon, all! This is BBA French Toast Devil Dog, an imperial oatmeal stout from Roak Brewing, Kalamazoo. I picked this up while traveling through Michigan a while back. Still drinking just fine, if you like this sort of thing. Which I do. Huge flavors of French toast, maple syrup, cinnamon, bourbon, dark roasted malt, and char, with overtones of coffee, licorice, and molasses. At 11.4% ABV, this'll be a one-and-done. If I get that far, that is. Cheers!
