If you want...an experience, yeah, I'll say it that way...got to The Big Texan in Amarillo. It is a motel, steakhouse, and apparently brewery now. I have no idea if the brewery is any good, or if they are still brewing at all. I only went on a vacation with the family before I was even in high school (well before they had the brewery). We drove from Illinois, and saw billboards in Missouri for their steak challenge ha. Thank you for all that information much appreciated, I did see Plano was close to Richardson and Frisco when looking at cities , looked to have several breweries ,just know which one’s are worth hitting as i will have time for 2-3 places if close . Holy Grail looks good to me @champ103
Just tacking on since I used to live in Richardson: - Four Bullets for some English-styles. I do enjoy their ESB and other ales. - Lakewood in Garland - Definitely second Vector
Pondaseta is by far the best brewery in Amarillo in my opinion, and my personal favorite brewery. Six car is fine. Big Texan is a tourist trap. Old Tascosa Brewery is newer and is starting to have some nice brews.
