    Good day BAs! Off to a slightly earlier start than usual - second load is in the washer and it's light enough to pick up apples before the yellow jackets start buzzing.

    Yet another excellent brew from 3 Floyds'. Somehow their name always reminds me of Joe Flaherty from SCTV...

    Kalimera. Good (late) afternoon in these parts anyway.

    Long day of travel behind me, enjoying a pretty typical beer in this country: Pils Hellas.

    I love this country and its population quite a bit but goodness me it’s kinda hot. Poor frenchie will have to get acclimated.

    This is Crete Part Deux, loved it more than enough the first time, here we go again. Looking forward different excursions than what we did two years ago, going more east of the island instead of West (Matala, Heraklion, Rethymno any of which were outstanding too).

    Happy Wednesday ba. Into I hear w/ ofest-marzen from bells. This one really checks all the boxes for me. Crisp drinking with a moderate malt body. Not overly sweet, subtle hops, and still maintains a dry feel. Good notes of dark breads, brown sugar, and caramel,

    1) Fair State Side Pull (4.1%): A Czech Pale lager from Minnesota with flavors of pale bread malty, yeast, light salty notes. Light and clean.
    versus
    2) Falling Knife Of A Feather (5.5%): A Helles Lager from Minnesota with flavors of smooth bread notes, light orange and floral notes. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner: Fair State Side Pull
    Fair State vs Falling Knife collab Battle. First is Side Pull. A Czech Pale lager that is clean, crisp, yet subtly flavorful.
    Next is Falling Knife Of A Feather, a collab with Fair State for a German Helles. Smooth bread, light citrus and floral notes. Very nicely done.
    Hard to go wrong with Fair State Side Pull here.

    Yes part of the Fanatic Pack I purchased at Costco. They have 4 6-packs of each beer. The beers are Nooner, Tumbler, Ruthless Rye and Flipside. Cheers!
