Does anyone know of anywhere I can leave my car overnight in Deerfield? We're currently planning a trip up to Hill and we need a place to link up along I-91 to carpool the rest of the way. Tree House seems like a great place, but just need a place to drop my car overnight..

Google shows there is a bunch of construction planned for Leary Public Parking Lot in Deerfield, but I can't find any information if it is actually completed.

There's a Park and Ride about a mile south at the intersection of Rts 5 and 116. Never used it but always see it when driving by.

Not sure if this was mentioned before this, but I thought this was a one off. Apparently it's every Thursday through August.

Anyone go to one of these? Are there lines?

I don't go out of my way for Tree House, but I go for runs every Thursday and will sometimes swing by a spot for a beer.

In case anyone was wondering for next year, I did end up going last night. It's SUPER chill. I went around 6:45 (they closed at 7:10) and it was zero issue getting a beer. Very smooth process and no lines. Nice little area in there too, and of course you're right at the Pru if you get bored.

They had draft pours of Julius, Golf Pils, Haze Mango, and Little Fern. Can pours of Peach Tart, Easy Does It, Nelson Many Ways Freestyle Hops, and King JJJuliusss.

Beers were good, maybe a touch of hop burn (could have been bitterness I suppose).

I enjoyed the Hill Farmstead Abner and Susan pours I had last weekend much more, especially the Abner. But the TH beers were good nonetheless, as always.

Kind of wish I had a Julius and the Easy Does It, rather than two hoppy Tree House beers.

grabbed some of this. Canned a month ago but still nice. A little subtle but opened up as it warmed. Can imagine how it punched when super fresh. I also had the fresh citra version and the hops in that one hit a little harder.

Saw on Instagram where Cory King of Side Project was a TH today. That would be a pretty incredible collab….

Bought a case of lagers, today. Oh and a 4-pack of the Oktoberfest.

Never in my life did I think I would be saying that about Tree House but here we are. The Peacharine House Lager is probably the most refreshing beer I've ever had. So good.

Oh and Medley. Best new IPA from them in a while IMO.

I have to echo that Eureka! w/ Peacharine is just delightful. House Lager also a VERY easy drinker. I just finished a Silver Sheep and that is another top notch IPA without the haze.

I've tried to pump the brakes on buying new TH DIPAs but may have to scoop some of this Nelson Many Ways

Unfortunately my palate absolutely rejects Nelson hops. Tastes like the bottom of a pile of leaves. Never got the "white wine grape" thing. It sucks because Nelson is all the rage lately.

It’s the best of all the New Zealand hops imo. It needs to be paired with something else, though, or the white wine flavor over powers the beer. Seems like we have exact opposite flavor profiles going on. To me, Motueka, Riwaka, etc… all taste like the pile of leaves you described. I generally try to avoid them unless in a big mix of good hops that I like

Yeah it's weird. I'm not really a huge fan of Southern Hemisphere hops outside of Galaxy. But Mouteka and Riwaka to me are like "we have Galaxy at home"; not bad if paired with other hops.

Nelson just sticks out like a sore thumb to me. But I'd definitely try the beer you posted from Other Half. They tend to knock anything with Citra or Simcoe completely out of the park.

Lights on is awesome. It was the first thing I had on draft when I visited and at first sip it just satisfied that classic treehouse profile. The can I had at home a day or 2 later tasted even better. I really wish treehouse dealt more in the pale ale/ipa range. Hell they crush everything in the 4-7 percent range. And their “lower” abv beers definitely still have enough body and flavor. I don’t know why every new experimental or one-off has to be a dipa. That’s the only place they lose points for me. Recent releases playing with newer hops like allora and elani. Why not an IPA in the 6% range? When I visited the list was admittedly even more skewed than usual, but very few non-dipa hops not on draft and to go. I really dislike a draft list full of DIPA but that’s just me. Hill farmstead on the otherhand I was able to get more than a case of a mix of different SINGLE IPAs, with a sprinkle of some DIPAs. That’s more my vibe. And their on-site draft list is deep with non-imperial strength beers - both hoppy and not. DIPAs are to-go only. That’s more my vibe. I really gotta give it up to treehouse for the depth of their lager program. That cannot be denied. And they will satisfy the low abv drinkable lane for a lot of folks, but I just wish they did more of what their primarily known for in that range. All that being said, don’t get me wrong I love treehouse. I guess I’m feeling a little bitter that Julius, green, (and haze), were sold out when I visited. If I got that case I had planned - 3 Julius, 2 green, 1 haze - I’d probably have nothing to gripe about.

Like right now- Julius, JJJulius, BABY FERN!, and bright w citra to boot. Maybe god was trying to save my wallet, but those are all beers I would have snagged. Grrrrr! I live for baby fern! That’s the shit I’d get excited about if I see drop before my visit. F-ing baby fern dawg.

I was gonna say, this batch of Lights On tastes like it did 10 years ago. Well, I can't say that with confidence because palate shift but you get it.
