    1) Phase Three Rule Of Thirds (7.7% canned 7/10/24):
A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Mosaic & Nelson for flavors of white grape, snappy passionfruit, zesty citrus and tropical berries.
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath DDH King Sue (7.8% canned 6/17/24): A NEIPA from Iowa with flavors of orange citrus zest, flower, pineapple and mango skin. Bright and clean. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner: Toppling Goliath DDH King Sue

Phase Three vs. Toppling Goliath IPA Battle. Both DDH. My initial pour photo got deleted. Opening up with these outstanding IPAs is fitting for the first Sunday of NFL football. First is Phase Three Rule Of Thirds. Citra, Mosaic, Nelson. Wonderful hop combination. Citra and Mosaic, plus some Nelson to give it some grape and lychee notes. Not overly sweet. Clean.
Next is Toppling Goliath DDH King Sue. DDH Citra. Rated World-Class on BeerAdvocate. This is incredibly citrus and juicy. It takes their King Sue that has been around since 2014 and puts it on a 2024 level.

BlackStack Late to The Party (6.0%): A Festbier from Minnesota with flavors of sweet honeyflower, Munich bread malts, and lemon.

Figured I'd kick off NFL Sunday with a Festbier. This one from BlackStack. I rated in 4.14 last year on BeerAdvocate. I thought it was a slightly sweet, but outstanding Festbier. It has sweet honeyflower and bready Munich. It's wonderful, and will probably pick up another few for some beer battles. Happy NFL Sunday kickoff and Oktoberfest season BeerAdvocates. This is a great time of year!

So, this side-by-side had to be done, right? Doing my best @defunksta with Troegs Perpetual and Double Perpetual. Notes over in the side-by-side thread shortly. tl;dr...Double Perpetual is a worthy beer, but the OG wins by a mile. Cheers!
