This is way better than Guinness. The bitterness is more pronounced and the mouthfeel is just perfect.

Good morning.
This is one of the cans I brought with me in the holiday haul.
I knew it, drank it several times both on tap and in a can. This one was very fresh.

"Batch: L067F - Packaging date: 04/24/2024 - Best before: 09/24/2024". - Drunk on 08/11/2024.
In addition to elevating an already peaceful moment of the senses, I confirm that with my eyes closed I don't think I'd immediately recognize it as a Pils, but rather as a Pale Ale.
At least until the emergence of light notes of cereals at the end of the drink, once the beer has diluted a bit.
For the rest, a very light beer with a very intense and fragrant taste of yellow fruit (especially peach and yellow melon) and exotic (passion fruit), followed by dry citrus notes (orange peel, citron, grapefruit) that make the beer end with a pleasant bitter note that still leaves room for citrus on the palate.
Product, for my tastes, amazing and of remarkable balance enhanced by a truly fragrant taste although not invasive or excessive.

Off to a foggy start again today - thanks to all yinz travelers for showing sunny daylight pictures - I know I'll never hit the Med again but I may make it back to Eire - Guinness stout is kind of the bud lite of Ireland - it's everywhere but there are better stouts available if you can find them.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Don't usually drink tripels (Mostly one and done) but today's isn't too bad.

Final Impression and summation: 4 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Tripels are far from my favorite style, but this one is pretty good, although it could be a bit drier.

My next trip is to Lancaster (PA) to another quilt show with Mrs. Lizard - last show I read two books - this time I hope to maybe finish one from William Manchester.

One of the nice things about Hungary is that even the gas stations and 24 hour ABC stores have brands of Czech lager I’ve never heard of before. Despite the rating on this site, I am finding this one, Lobkowicz Premium Lager, entirely solid.
