What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4352

Picking up where I left off last night.,. Cheeers!

 

Good morning.

Alder Beer Co. (Seregno, ITA) - TWENTY2 - West Coast Double IPA (7.6%)

44 cl can (6.50€/7€ at the beershop).
West Coast Double India Palermo Ale produced with Pils, Golden Promise and Cara malts, American Ale yeast and hopped with a blend of well-known American hops: Citra, Simcoe and Centennial. Sugar is also added.
"Lot: L089F - Packaged on: 05/16/2024 - Best before 10/16/2024".
Slightly opaque golden.
The right amount of foam and soft.
Extremely tasty and with a full flavor that invades the palate:
White peach,
Summer plum,
Apricot,
Citrus.
Slightly resinous finish.
Dry, with a bitter note that lingers, while the lips almost stick (perhaps because of the sugar).
On the palate, a yellow-fleshed fruit salad.
Yet another excellent version of West Coast made by this brewery and its master brewer, Marco Valeriani, who made me rediscover the taste of hoppy beers that are enormously different from the standard products that are invading the fridges of many bars/pubs that perhaps are not specialized in craft beers and that think they are offering a craft offer that in reality is specifically produced to conform as much as possible to the taste of the neophyte, compromising the quality and refinement of a distinctive character from the mass of mirror-image products.





Drunk under a pouring rain storm (see deck floor) with thunder and lightning that lit up the open sea all around for more than an instant each time creating a truly suggestive purple effect to see live.

A rare day off for a check up and new washing machine delivery. Both items are complete, so I'm taking advantage.

This one is good, but showing it's 8 months of age and medieval stopper technology. Headed to North Carolina tonight with Mrs Jkblr for a brief visit with our daughter in her final semester of college. Cheers all!

I had a very good band rehearsal last night, got home early and was bushed. I'm ready for a brewskie now and hopefully we'll be rcvg some rain here this afternoon.
