The change in the beer world dynamics is still awe-inspiring to me.

I haven't really heard much, if any, mention of Oak & Steel's anniversary party this week. They poured DB Rye BBT one night and will have DB Anabasis tomorrow. They also had Van Winkle BBT (maybe not as big of a hitter, but one I've wanted to try.)

 

Ludwig has returned to the side pull and to-go cans. Big day.

 

I'm so glad they put it on the side pull again, it was really fantastic that way last year and as a milko. Such a great beer, had one last night during trivia at the patio and it's just as good as last year

 

Last Fermier day I was at several years ago there was only 2 bottles of Oude Fermier b1 and I remember sharing my glass with 8 other guys that missed out. I think I savored 1-2 oz of the 6 oz that were in my glass. I remember at that time them noting how little Oude Fermier b1 there is left, which is a shame. It is one of the best beers on the planet.

 

Finally took Rye BBT down.

 

They could make a nice dent in the Rye BBT by offering another solo bottle to LC. Just an idea.

This is the longest non-holiday gap between releases in years.

 

could be in the minority here but i think it’s been so nice.

 

this was solid. i love SP’s gin barrel-aged saisons / wilds but was a little apprehensive on the flavor additives of this one. i was wrong. gin botanicals + strawberry vanilla cupcakes is a flavor combo i never knew i needed.

 

hows the sour level? I’ve loved almost everything gin that side project has done but almost nothing with berries, mostly because they’re too sour

 

It has definitely been nice. Honestly would be fine if nothing else dropped until Novembers BBT release. Fingers crossed that when the next announcement is made there is no cinnamon, coffee, peppers or rum involved.

 

shockingly tame for SP standards.

 

Are they not announcing things you want to get or is it a $$ thing? I like the anticipation of seeing what's coming, but am bummed when it's not a stout or bw of some sort.
My wallet could use a break, too!

 

Why is that, you think? Is it all of the anniversary stuff coming up that's interfering?
