It’s been 12 years since I last spent a night in Vegas, wasn’t much a gambler and my guide asked me to leave good tips to the waiter as I wasn’t playing. Also was a smoker then and that was, back then anyway enjoyable while sipping on some brew. Enjoy Vegas!

    IJbok. Dutch seasonal bokbeer.
One of my favourites in this style (not over sweet) like I mentioned to @Hephaistos yesterday.
    Cheers all

Part of a mixed pack, drinkable.

As I often do, I checked back on yesterday's thread after it was locked for further comments.
Want to pass my condolences to @beergoot for the loss of his friend "Tactical Bob."

My final beer for the night — Meggy, a sour cherry ale from Pannonhalmi Monastery Brewery. I’m an absolute sucker for any cherry beer … I just love ‘em.

    Melvin Brewing -- 2x4
    Double India pale ale
    ABV: 9.9%; pouring temperature: 52.5 ℉; stovepipe info: n/a
Auxiliary vice: Rocky Patel -- Gold Label - Robusto

    Revisited September 24th, 2024

Clear, golden body; thick, small-bubble carbonation; thick, semi-creamy, white head, long-lasting. Excellent malt nose infused with pine scent hops; warm bread crust. Nicely balanced taste; mildly rich malt flavor; a touch of honey; spicy hop note; muted alcohol presence. Medium body with a modest stickiness with the residual sugars; crisp; tickling raspiness on the palate; outstanding balance between the sweetness and dryness.

Everything remains about the same for me compared to eight years ago when I first reviewed this beer. I did knock the taste down a 1/4 point if only because there are so many great double / imperial India pale ales out there. But make no mistake, this still is one damn fine DIPA.

    ---------------------------------

    Original April 01st, 2016 ratings and scores: 4.25 4.0 4.75 4.5 4.5; BA weighted overall score: 4.47; rDev: +4.4%

Bright amber body crowned with a frothy, sticky, white head; lots of fine carbonation rising. Pine and spicy aroma; toasted grain notes edging through the hop smells. Gentle pale malt sweetness gives way to a solid wall of pleasant hop bitterness; crackers and honey with a black pepper spiciness. Heavy body with a gentle, well-rounded softness; dry finish.

A most amazing DIPA that gives little hint to its ABV content. It's gentle softness and subtle flavor belies the huge alcohol content yet doesn't back away from suggesting its big-beer qualities. This one could very well be dangerous because it is so drinkable and and tasty. Ah, you just gotta love experiencing such deftly crafted, high-quality brews. I never heard of Melvin Brewing prior to this, yet I can see doing a weekend run up to Jackson, WY just to sample more of their beers.

Brasserie Parisis (France) CBD Pale Ale.,. Cheeeers!

I fell for it. Overpaid (€4.50 ) for the label. It’s a cheap pilsner-y, albeit fresh, gimmick. 1.6 gr/L of non-existent ‘hemp flower’.,. Next!

    Chouffe Bok 6666.
Seasonal bok beer from Belgium, exclusive for the Dutch market. Not sure where this is produced. Could even be Duvel Moortgat
Traditionally there's somewhat of a bok frenzy here in the Netherlands during fall.
    Cheers
