What is in the porcelain 'bowl'?

 

I enjoyed that West Sixth IPA - it was a welcome bitter/hoppy switch up after 3 days of bourbon and cocktails. Had a couple of Cougar Bait Golden Ales after that - good stuff as well!

Final Impression and summation: Good looking brew. Transitory sulfides may be deliberate. Actually, not as bad as I expected – maybe it just needs to be cellared for a year or two past the BB date.

I think the West Sixth is the best IPA made here in Lexington.

 

This is a great beer when fresh. It suffers a lot by sitting unrecognized on shelves here in the US. When in the north of Greece this should be everyone's go to everyday beer. Glad you didn't hate it, despite its less than optimal condition.

 

Will jump on later with beers, but my late night response to WBAYDN yesterday was stopped by the midnight PDT thread lock.

@beergoot - Dave I understand your stance on Vegas, but the city has many great beer options that hopefully will come across in my trip posts. Also a great fly in base for people exploring the wonderful State and National Parks in the SW plus So Cal and Utah. My trip is $700 for air and 7 nights at hotels that would cost double plus in most other cities (plus 2 night brother stay).

Going to try to get a few hours of walking in before it reaches 100F, as it will all trip (10-15 degrees above normal early Fall).

Howdy BAs! Yesterday was an 8 ball for me and today I'm finding humor in just about everything. Esp beer names. Well, it's another perfect day to try some new brews. I have to continue learning some songs for work on Saturday and my other band is all rehearsed for a show on Friday at Waldmann Brewing. Part of their Oktofest party. I have to be there to load in my drums at 10:30 AM. We have 3 polkas in our set. In light of that and my broken garage door, it's time for a beer. 2024 Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest Festbier.

Happy Wednesday ba. Day off so up and at it here. Starting where I finished yesterday. Copper legend, ofest, jacks Abby. Drinks on the lighter side and perhaps a touch too sweet. Still decent / good stuff overall,
