I bought a 4pack of this and best before date is April 8th 2025. Solid beer.

I found the this years SN Oktofestbier to be only slightly above average. Glad I tried it. Moving on to something a bit lighter: Pipeworks Alla Salute Italian Pilsner. Hilarious label artwork. Salute!!

 

Bottled July 6th 2023 and showed up a couple of weeks ago. That ain’t right. Still tastes goodish.

Back home from weiner Wednesday with an infinite Ale Works Buzzfest marzen ale. This is fantastic ice cold

Buddy wanted to grab lunch... so it's Mexican instead of treadmill right now haha!

Negra Modelo to start. Figure I'm hosting a cocktail hour fire pit at 4pm with neighbors, so might as well get started!





Managed to get a nice long walk in, and the yard cleaned up before a brief rain rolled in.

Front lawn still holding up pretty well...

This pale ale shows up here (NW Europe) now and then, and not for an insane price. Need some luck to get it however.

Played golf today after a two week sabbatical, and didn't stink the place up
Came home and opened this nice brown ale from Lizard Tail Brewing.

 

Pannonhalmi Monastery Brewery Grape Ale. It’s okay, but the grapes kinda get lost and it doesn’t have a real fruity bite to it.

Also I don’t have any grapes, I only have apples, so they are what made it into the pic.

Honor Pumpkin Ain't Easy pumpkin ale

 

Stillfest Oktoberfest at Stillwest Brewing along with the smoked tri tip sammie. Cheers!

 

Nice- Look forward to seeing it!

 

1) Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn (6.0%): A German Festbier with flavors of pale malt, dry bread, grains, yeast. Crisp and carbonated.
versus
2) Weihenstephaner Festbier (5.8%): A German Festbier with flavors of pale malt, smooth honey, cereal, pale Munich malts. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner: Weihenstephaner Festbier
German Festbier Battle. First is Paulaner. Very standard festbier. Pale and German bread malts and yeast flavors. Clean and crisp.
Next is Weihenstephaner. Very similar, but slightly more earthy and bready flavors. Drinks slightly more full and flavorful. Both are authentic and excellent festbiers. Prost!
