Some early release details posted on their site. V.S.O. On & On Part 3 is mentioned as part of the release as well.
And doing proper research, can see the following new entries on UT. Might a couple of these be the exclusive draft variants for the release (the first one seems exclusive to Crafted 1979)? Imperial Deth Marsh wins the beer name of the day.

Have I mentioned I don't always like what French Oak does to a beer?

So you'll only buy 2 instead of 4 or 5?

The good news is they didn’t release Hazelnut Deth so you can still do no nut November.

I bought 2 season tickets to bite the bullet up front, but these stove pipe one-offs are going to have me shelling out more nonetheless. They all sound great.

The bottom three were all at Crafted’s beer fest, Small Batch. Crafted did a couple build-a-barrels and then blended the pair together.

They will be on tap Thursday!

Good to know. Thanks for the details. I think @GuyFawkes will be pleased then there is still a chance the DW release draft variants might not then involve French Oak.

I was thinking that as well. But the stouts I dislike are usually aged in french oak only, so I'm hoping the liquor will help this one.

Actually, that's kind of a funny description. Are they saying it'll be in bourbon barrels with like french oak staves?

That’s preferable to what I assumed which was that they just went to France and followed around a wood chipper. Aged on French Oak mulch…

Oakpocalypse Now, the Firestone Walker half of the Rev collab, has landed at Beer on the Wall in Park Ridge.

So the Firestone version is 11.8% ABV. I have to imagine the Rev version is going to be way higher

There is a couple of 4 packs of VSOJ available to go at the Taproom, FYI. There was 5 when I got there, now there's 4.

Season ticket holders, check your email for more stovepipe news.

EDIT: I guess this is of interest to all Deep Wood fans, ticket or no.

    October '24 - V.S.O. On & On: Part 3

In revisiting our collaborative and experimental release with Half Acre Beer Co., we allowed the sweetest, most dynamic components to age an additional year in Wild Turkey Russell’s Reserve bourbon barrels. This “Deconstructed Stout” was split into pale and dark components, allowing the pale beer malts to age without the antioxidant properties of the darker malts, creating a Very Special Old stout with the soul of a Very Special Old barleywine.

    November '24 - D.B.X.O.D. Le Tronçais

A 3-plus-year-old sweet blend of double bourbon barreled Deth’s Tar is finished on our favorite single-origin, hand-fire-toasted oak from the forest of Tronçais in central France – long featured in the finest, boldest red wines in Europe and the U.S. This powerful and elegant oak is interwoven with a double shot of its charred American counterpart, and the nuance of an Extra Old malt profile makes for a matchless expression of our Imperial Oatmeal Stout.

    January '25 - Barleywinery D.B.V.S.O.J.

Applying the lessons from several grape harvests in central California’s wine country, the Barleywinery is an experimental aging condition which seeks to find harmony between fresh, bready malt characteristics, and the concentrated, jammy notes common to extended-age barrel maturation. This unblended delicacy establishes complimentary complexities typically only found in multi-component blends of widely varying ages, all while maximizing the expression of fire-toasted French and charred American oaks.
