At Ellis Island. Local uproar here as they raised their core beer prices from $3 or $4 to $5.50, but still comped playing VP which I am. May gamble til 11 for dinner steak special unless it gets smokey.

Couldn’t wait til 11 AM with the non smoking bar closed til then, so steak dinner with fries instead of baked potato. Ordered medium because medium rare was closer to rare last time, and too early for a repeat.

Fast moving storm clouds overhead (but no rain). Temperature is 84°. Windy with occasional strong gusts. I still have power…so far, so good. Cheers y’all!

it generally is, but found a spot at the bar away from the smokers. Still prefer non smoking Front Bar, thought it said 9am open, but it’s an 11 an open. One last pour here, then hope to find the Sox game.

Down $15 total. Guess $34 all in including tips for three beers, about 45 minutes of play and a steak dinner is ok, though the steak quality better in the past.

 

I'm a bit shocked to see how many folks, including some of my close friends, still light up cigs. But I smoke grass so my complaining is so so.
