Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Picked this up a couple of weeks ago at Shangy's, along with bottles from 1998 and 1999, if the neck labels are legit. The cork in this bottle was dried out, so the brew was flat and ended up with cork flakes being strained between my teeth. Overall, good and cheap at twice the price - this'll be a cross-post with NBW.

Final Impression and summation: 4 Several minutes after the last swallow, some alcohol appears on the exhale. Flavors are good but subdued. Unfortunately, the bottles were stored in such a manner that the cork dried out. Still, quite a find, IMHO.

Good day BAs! Went to my friend’s house to get his dog Luna for the day…his house is such a mess from the storm surge…back at the condo, finishing yesterday’s 22 oz bottle of BA Dark Star (2021):



Poured at 53°. Such a fine beer!

Nothing to do today. Just going to stay home and drink beer with Luna. Cheers and have a sensational Saturday y’all!

Interesting Farmhouse rice ale with lemon peel. Description on the can:

No. 1 is pale Farmhouse Ale brewed with 60% Maine-grown Pilsner malt, 30% flaked rice, 10% Maine-grown raw rye, hopped with noble European hops & spiced with a touch of lemon peel.
