Got stuck late at work trying to correct a problem entirely of my own making. Took extra time as I had to come up with a plausible person to blame



Kidding, of course, but happy to be home and have a beer from Alewerks, who make a good pumpkin ale. This spiced Pumpkin Porter is pretty good, too. Spice comes through first with pumpkin ale vibes, followed by dark chocolate and bitter roast rising late in the taste.

Storm clouds are spitting rain…at least the wind has picked up and there’s a cool breeze now. Cheers from still soggy Gulf Port, FL!

 

Going with this new (to me) beer. Not bad but a bit ....understated. Would probably enjoy it more in the summer.

I stopped at Twin Elephant to try its Milkshake IPA collab with Autdidact Beer called Ritual de la Habitual. It’s made with coconut and pineapple and tastes like a pina colada. Thursday cheers, BAs!

I normally really enjoy Hofbrau Oktoberfest Bier but this one is coming in a little too hot. I don't recall previous versions being this warming. It's good, but wow.
