I'm on my way to Bolivar and Crystal Beach in a bit...the last few times I have been down there internet, let alone phone service was spotty to non-existent. I'll be down there for the next week...my Dad is BBQing...I'll have some books, booze and and hopefully be able to check in, if the interwebs cooperates . Hammerheart Brewing finally came back into my central Minnesota area yesterday. I am so happy.

From a 16oz can. No date on the can, but it came into work yesterday October 2nd 2024.

This beer has some clarity to it. It is light golden in color. There's a 1 finger white head to this beer that has decent retention. Not much lacing on the glass.
Aroma is wow! How I missed this aroma. I get a very strong, and pleasing to me, smoky aroma. It is a pleasing smoky bonfire aroma. I also get hints of malty grains underneath the smoke.
Taste - I get a light citrus flavor up front with a cereal hint to it. The smoke kicks in and just builds. The smoke seems to change from a meat smokehouse to a woody, smoky bonfire. I can not get enough of this.
Smooth body. The body is decent for the style, maybe not as thick as the famed German smoked beers, but decent. The feeling from the smoke lingers.
How much did I miss this brewery. I am so glad they're back and I can enjoy the smoky goodness.

I bought a four pack a few times. Not sure if I will again. Something does not taste right. Kind of a burnt taste.

 

This Fidens Elements of Art DIPA brewed with Riwaka and Nelson is phenomenal! I knew from the hops it would be good but it's tasting great!

 

Have a great Thursday. Today is my 4th anniversary of the last first date of my whole life. Best person of all time. We are doing well and dry in Greensboro. Asheville was nearly wiped off the map.

I missed jury duty in August but got rescheduled to call in for today, but was dismissed last night. Just goes to show you have to just follow the system to check the boxes of compliance

At claddagh Irish pub with the Sycamore mountain candy. Super smooth and dank. My wife got Guinness.
