Well, a nice early fall day, one that does seem to be begging for open windows to let the breeze in, some college football, and a beer.


Neither of my rooting interests is winning, yet. One might not make it to that point, though I'd be quite disappointed if both failed today.

 

Back in the ol’ AirBnB with a Hajrá Magyarok! from Fehér Nyúl. It’s a decent enough lager, but the malt profile is not my favorite.

Happy Saturday Cheers! Enjoying an Erdinger Oktoberfest, very nice. A “wheated” Festbier, which along with bottle conditioning leads to a soft mouthfeel and a distinctive haze. Prost!

NBW cross-post. This is a delicious pumpkin ale. It is quite windy, but it is an otherwise perfect fall day. My body is in rough shape, after the last seven days. It started with a metal festival at a craft brewery. I now realize that having the option to drink craft beer at great prices while watching live metal all day and all night is to be approached with more caution than I used. I then got a bad cold, which combined with absolute baseball horror, lead to me sleeping for a few minutes total, on Thursday night. Then last night I drank beers and Jagermeister without eating much food the whole day, and moshed to Carcass and Hatebreed. As usual, I completely dominated. I did get some sleep last night, but I still feel the effects of not sleeping the night before. I probably should not drink beer today, but someone needs to lead the charge for today's WBAYDN 27-page minimum.

 

Lets go Saturday BA's! Ran around to the market and a couple stores. Back home and cutting some wood for a lunch fire tomorrow. A few bloody marys done and now a Heady with a egg/cheese/sausage/spinach egg dish thingy, really good!

 

June was the last time playoffs were on my TV (NHL). The Spanish Broadcast on mute with WBAYDN music is how I will enjoy the American League Playoffs this Fall, the first time I am getting into MLB's Postseason since the expansion from four teams per league, which I still prefer.

Still think the Division Series should either be seven games, or if five all five at the higher seed to render the Regular Season at least slightly meaningful. Still would love four divisions, four teams, or eight division champions in a 32 team league. Zero wild cards in either scenario.
