What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4368

I didn’t go to the Richmond party, but they brought cans to the Buffalo site today. I was so evidently disorganized or enamored with the Double Coconut Nyx on draft that I forgot to ask about the bottle pours…duh, me! They had a handful of nice BAs like Critical Hit copper wax, Peach Leto, Apple Leto (white wax…one I have not had before), Hazel (a total sleeper…buy on sight), Ophion, some Garagiste meads…

They had a special sour on draft today made with loganberry, Concord grape, toasted marshmallow. If they have it at Avon, that was tasty, too.

 

Brand new, added to BA today. Still working on my review. Maybe 1/8 inch of head...which disappears quickly. No lacing. Not impressive to look at. Smell/flavor: some dankness, some bitterness. Some bitter citrus. Maybe nice if you are really a WC IPA fan. The Pacific Airshow is more than 20 miles away at Huntington Beach. I can hear the jets. Sounds like thunder/sounds like freedom. The F-22 and Blue A's are in the line-up, along with A-10, Osprey, and bunch of other stuff. I have worked the flight line at about 18 airshows marshalling incoming/outgoing aircraft including most of these. At 50 ft they are annoyingly loud. Give me the big WWII radial engines belching smoke without the head splitting scream of a jet any day.

Rather chilly, so much I closed the windows on the porch. One of these days I’ll get back to hanging out by fires, but I haven’t been in the mood to do that by myself.

I did enjoy these.... Just couldn't drink a 30 rake....

Sarah will get a flight of sours, then get a supply to last two weeks. I have a special box en route from @beergoot so I’m going to not buy anything for me. I’ve had Mortalis all summer long, football season is for Other Half, which is tradition

Now enjoying a Brooklyn Brown Ale. I agree with the overall ratings on this one. I do like brown ales, but this one is pedestrian. It was hard watching Mizzou not only get upset, but annihilated by Texas A&M. Alabama losing to Vanderbilt was a huge upset. Mizzou beat Vanderbilt so that might help them not plummet as far in the rankings.
