I have a lot of family and friends (and BAs)., in Florida, dealing with this barreling monster of a storm.
Didn’t realize I got some PTSD from riding out Hurricane Ian, hunkered in my bathtub with my wife, until I was sitting here watching the news today and got the yips pretty bad.

Very nice IPA indeed. Collaboration with Other Half Brewing. I would buy it if available locally.

Hello there. Might chop the lawn today. Or might bite the bullet and go get the 91 octane non-oxy fuel for the machines. Current road construction traffic impacts in my area and very near my place would give Sigmund Freud a feckin' splitting headache. Better have a beer to help guide my decision compass. 2023 SN Narwhal pkgd 9/11/23. Superb is the gnarly Narwhal. Cheers!! and happy Wednesday!

 

Troegs Double Perpetual DIPA

 

1) Insight Schickemode (5.8%): A Festbier from Minnesota with flavors of rich caramel and toasted notes. Sweet.
versus
2) Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest 2024 (6.0% canned 6/26/24): A Festbier from California with collab with Brauerei Gutmann for flavors of light honey and citrus balanced with pale Munich malts. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner: Sierra Nevada
Festbier Battle. First is Insight Brewing. Rich caramel and toasted notes. Leans closer toward a Marzen, but excellent flavors.
Next is Sierra Nevada's. Always worth trying. This one is lighter and cleaner than I remember in previous years, still some orange and floral notes. Nicely done.

 

Excellent post,,, save some OH for your Jets glass for MNF: should be drama to report from Jets And Bills Nation.

 

Another SN brew I have not seen around here in a while - I remember always liking this....I ordered some, along with the Porter and the case of the FH Harvest that came yesterday from Chico....good stuff!
