    Hello all!

Starting this thread again with a different yet as much iconic beer as yesterday: Tripel Karmeliet.

Katy Perry has a new album out, but doesn’t seem to be the hit she was in 2008-2009:

Happy Thursday BA's! Survived the storm with no damage but multiple trees and power poles down in the neighborhood. Power/cable will be out for awhile. Tree House Double Shot American Stout to kick things off. This is three houses down [IMG][IMG]

Having a break from the Dutch Autumn Bocks. Maybe more about that later - 2024 is quite a good "bock" year.

I am very ok with Grolsch recently.
Not all they release is to my taste, but like they say:
    Craftsmanship is mastery.

Sorry about the lost/broken tree, but no lives lost is what matters. Glad you survived this one safely.

I just finished resolving a bugger of an issue that took me all morning to resolve, so on lunch break right now. I decided i wanted some coffee, so this Double Coffee Porter seemed appropriate before my next customer at 1:00. It is not disappointing ...

@Ocalafox, glad you got through Milton relatively unscathed. Our daughter in Tampa also fared well. Her only complaint today is no power.

A small comparison test for your amusement.

3 Grolsch Bock, but the middle one is the german kind of bock, so I will let it get away for another day,

So the question is: what is better, the "Ripened" or the "Rich" one?

The "ripened" ruby one is kind of sweet and raisin like. Would go good with cheeses I guess.
The rich one is more wahr you expect from a dark beer, lovely foam, bit of burnt coffee taste, yet sadly a littlte bit of the wet-dog-hair-malts.
Both are good, neither will be bought again. Because there is better available out there.

Clear, golden yellow body; decent carbonation; good head for a chili beer, thin, white, lasting. Prominent scent of roasted chili peppers over a cracker and biscuit malt smell. The taste mirrors the aroma; relatively mild Serrano chili pepper flavor with a nice, grain-like malt base in the background. Medium body; lightly oily; fine pepper warmth throughout.

This is a fine tasting chili pepper beer. The pepper flavor isn't too hot or too faint (they used serrano peppers from Colorado). Balanced and flavorful are the key descriptives for this beer. I wouldn't hesitate to offer this beer to someone new to chili beers but a little leery of what they may experience. This beer delivers some excellent qualities all around.

    --------------------------------------------

...didn't get around to more beer nor raising a shot of tequila to @Ocalafox last night, but he seems to have survived the hurricane, so this one's raised to your wild ride...

Howdy folks. All vaxed up now and ready to chop the lawn. Totally blew it off yesterday. Had to secure work with a billion texts. So I'll stick to my lawn choppin' rule of having beers at freewill. Irrigation system stopped this morning at 5:30. Right on time, but some areas are still wet so a beer now is "El Perfecto" time-wise. Starting skinny with a Lite. Cheers!

Nice! There is so much bock around at this moment (here in NL). I'll have a couple this weekend too. Amstel (classic) and Grolsch are on my list and Moersleutel.
    Cheers

Was that beer released this year? I enjoy that one, but haven’t seen it for quite a while.
