Just got one at Handy
Had FTF a week ago 3 days old and i didn't care for it
Same with this.
Not that it's bad in any way, but i see no difference between this and any other IPA
Maybe cuz ipa are hopped so aggressively these days they beers like this don't even matter or i just don't like these Fremont offerings

This one sounds amazing

 

I had that one last night too. I enjoyed it but I didn’t think it had a lot of green/FH character.
I had FtoF on draft and thought it had a much greener flavor profile. Would be interested to try in a can as well.

 

Fh Ruination w/centennial and wet hop Desert Artist w/centennial are on at Stone Escondido.

Wonder if they are both in fact fresh hop beers or if there are other shenanigans at play here, especially since the fh Ruination specifies 300lbs of fresh centennial hops flown down same day from yakima while the other one just says freshly picked hops.

 

Fresh Hop Timbo Pils coming next Friday. I don’t recall this last year or previous years. This should be good.

 

Saw that Fogbelt has a wet hop fest bier out right now. Made with comet.

I thought you hated hoppy beer. What is going on here?!

 

1) I live in SoCal so ...let's be real here
2) the imperial stout selection is absolute trash in my area, it has gotten worse in the last 6 months.
3) I reallly LOVE red ales ( ask @Beer_Economicus )
4) Imperial Stouts are probably 70% of what i consume
5) I hate hoppy beers

 

If I was an actual beer trader I’d send you this new Bells red ale. But me knowing me would put it off for at least a year.

I've drank bombers of BBA Expedition, Regular Expedition by the gallons, BBA Coffee Expedition and packs of 12 oz BBA Expedition.

I do love that fucking beer.

Not a fan of 2 hearted so i probably wouldn't like this Red Hearted. I thought they had made a Red Ale around 5-7%

An 8% red ipa just sounds like a malty mess

If i find a single I'll smash

 

Expedition with years and years of age is a real treat, too.

 

don't mean to derail, but i am holding on to my last bottle of Larrys Last Imperial Oatmeal Stout that i hope to have in a few years. First 3 were a fucking treat but i can't recall what it tastes like since i never logged it
